My boyfriend ordered flowers via the phone to have delivered the 13th and they confirmed this with him on the phone. Then I get a text and call for them trying to be delivered for today, which is nowhere near Valentine’s(it’s the 11th), so I asked him about it, and he said he definately confirmed with the business by phone that the delivery was for the 13th. I called them and they said he ordered online and that the 11th had been written down. Clearly someone had screwed up writing the invoices, and now it’s not really a surprise anymore! You say you don’t do same day delivery so why did you try to pull that? I’m confused and dissapointed!

I must say I was quite disappointed with this place. We came in at 5:30pm and they were closing at 6pm. The only employee was already doing her cash out which caused a few problems. First of all she wasn’t able to come and help us with any of the plants we wanted cuz she was stuck at the till counting coins. By the time we did pick out a few plants she was still doing her cash out so we had to wait for her to finish before she could ring up our order. As I said we were looking for plants, not flowers, and they had a pretty poor selection. All the plants were not watered and had some sort of dead or dried leaves and stems. They also weren’t rotated consistently so all the leaves were lopsided toward the sunlight. This was for a house warming present so we wanted to give a nice(living/healthy) plant. I will say that when we finally picked out two plants that looked relatively good the girl wrapped them to dress them up. The soil in one of the pots was so dry so I asked her to give it a thorough watering which she did and she also added a bucket underneath so it wouldn’t leak into the wrapping. While we were waiting I also looked around at the cut flowers and noticed that they also had quite a poor selection even though it was 9 days till Mother’s day. I realized that I need to judge flower shops the same as sushi restaurants. You want a place that has a high turnover rate so that the fish is always fresh. Everything in this shop was far from fresh and I wouldn’t go back for plants and probably not even for flowers. At one point I even mumbled to my friend that we should have gone to Rona!
