The hotel was decent. Bed was ok, although it was only a queen. The room’s configuration was weird. The bed did not face the TV and the bedside lamp and alarm clock were powered by extension cords(unhidden) running from the wall opposite the TV. The water pressure in the shower was pretty bad. The room had a wall mounted air conditioner that let cold air in(and moisture out so the room was very dry). The wirelss internet was horrible(most of the time the sites timed out) and no wired internet was available in my room(only certain rooms have that). There were also lights on the outside of the building pointed at it and the curtains didn’t reach the bottom, so it was pretty annoying at night. There is a fridge in the room which is handy and the staff was friendly. There also didn’t seem to be sufficient parking available. If you’re staying in St. Albert though the location is good(Starbucks, supermarket and a bunch of fast food places around).

Nice central location in St Albert, very clean hotel with modern appointments. Staff seemed excellent and very friendly. Comfy beds and a nice pool with waterslide. Nice little coffee shop just off lobby. VERY pricey small town hotel at around $ 185.00 per night however.

The St. Albert Inn is pretty much a landmark of the suburban city. They’ve recently done extensive renovations and it looks pretty good. My sister had her wedding reception here in the summer. She was a little concerned that the carpeting in the conference room was still pretty dated but once everything was set up it was the last thing anyone would notice. The catering was decent though they did mess up on the midnight sandwich order which left a few people including me and my sister without bunwiches.(My sister loves that word, her husband not so much). I was glad that I’d booked a room in the hotel so I had a place to retreat when things got overwhelming. It was very convenient, I just checked in, went for dinner, went back to the room to nap while they were doing the speeches and stuff, then returned at my brother’s urging and bribing me with free drinks. I was happy with my room which wasn’t in the renovated part but still nice. The free wi-fi was awesome! It was also great that I didn’t have too far to go in my too-tight shoes when the night was over.
