Not the biggest selection but high quality bread and baked goods that do not need any of those worthless ‘artisan’ ‘blah blah story’ to stand out

Love this place! My favourite are the empire cookies, beesting cake and Eccles cakes. I love the apple pie and the Easter breads are delicious!

Great little bakery in North-​end St. Catharines. I usually buy my whole wheat and grainy breads here, and in the summer this is my exclusive stop for hamburger bun needs.
I debated about giving four stars and not five is because if you go in the later afternoon (after 3:00) they are often out of what you want, especially buns which I’m sure are In high demand! But really, I’m sure this is a sign of quality.
Also they make really great pies. And I agree with the below «sawdust» comment! The Nanaimo bars are too gritty — should consider using superfine or confectioners sugar for a smoother cream.

Friendly staff and a pretty good selection of pastries. Some of the pastries are excellent — I’m a big fan of the Eccles cakes — and some aren’t. (I’d swear that the Nanaimo bars are made out of sawdust.) Definitely worth trying.
