Caribbean Spoon

I had the chicken roti for takeout. It was very good and a very good portion. The restaurant looked very clean and cozy. I wish more people knew about this place and walk past the sushi shops and try this out. It’s really good food.

We had our hotel front desk clerk call Caribbean Spoon just about closing time on a Saturday night. They agreed to stay open just for us. The food and service were excellent.

After my major breakthrough trying new cuisine this year, Caribbean is becoming a favourite now… Reef, then Calabash, now CS is going to be another go to place.
Came during a dark nite so honestly, I wouldn’t know relative to where this is but it’s in a nice area of new townhomes, no condos, if that makes a difference. Smells nice and safe here ;)
Ordered the jerk chicken: definitely recommend, marinated nicely and the skin just perfect. enough to keep the juices in, and the chicken the right moist texture.
Oxtail beef: another good choice, sauce went well with the rice, a bit longer grain with kidney beans. talk about healthy!
Just been opened over a year, well-​kept, feels new so doesn’t have the heritage charm of The Reef but definitely authentic, owners just moved back from the Caribbean.

Great food, great staff and great service. What more can one ask for? We didn’t even know the place excited until our neighbour brought us the menu. We’ve been hooked on it since!

This place may be difficult to find but it is worth it! The food is awesome! The jerk pork is my favourite! Close runner ups are the Jerk chicken, shrimp roti and cayman chicken soup. Caribbean Spoon also has a Sunday Caribbean brunch from 12−4…I have not checked it out yet but I bet it’s good!
The lady who runs the place is also very nice and fun to chat with! The food is fresh and authentic.
The prices are good, I think it’s a great value for the quality of food!

Although prices and food are reasonably good, service is very slow and a bit lacking at time.
No «Whoa Factor» for me in this restaurant.

I tried the jerk chicken and it was very tender and tasty. The owner is very personable and friendly as well. Overall, a great experience and looking forward to going back.
This restaurant deserves to be a little more busy than it tends to be, because it’s a great meal for a very good price. The area doesn’t lend itself to much visibility, so hopefully more word of mouth gets around.

Finally a place in Surrey with Caribbean food. Nice owner, clean restaurant with great music. Order the festival appy and oxtail!
