Short story: Selection of products is great. Sales people were so helpful and knowledgable about their products. Unfortunately in the salon, rotten apples spoil the bunch. Front desk was nice. Unfriendly attitude from hairdressers and my hair was bleached off like the 80’s were back in style.(A mullet for my birthday was definitely not the look I was going for) Long story: Loved this chatters since high school(I’m 24 now). They’re probably the first salon I came out of feeling super cool haha. I’ve since moved onto another hairdresser, who is a close friend who went to hair school. When buying products, they were very helpful, and knowledgable and ultimately made my hair look amazing. They’ve also come to my rescue in desperate times I had experimented with my own hair at home.(Orange hair. Not the best look) and a «simple» root touch up, but we hit a few snags. Orange hair fix: One girl continually reminding me of how bad my hair looked. Well obviously. It’s orange and I came here in a panic. If you were my regular girl, you defs have every right to be mad.(Eye rolls and side eyes for days.) The girl who came in after to tone my hair was funny and made the situation less horrible. «Simple» root touch up: Toner lady was doing my roots. Sweet! She had great nails. My hair was being lifted from black to blonde, bit of a process but I felt good in her hands. We both had naturally black hair, and her being the pro, I trusted her to know how it would react. SOSOWRONG. Ultimately, the process was apparently too strong and a HUGEAMOUNTOFMYHAIRFELLOUT.(My usual girl would have me come for two days, which was annoying but now I know is absolutely necessary, as my hair takes time to lift. Toner lady did my hair in one go which I thought was great. But now I see why usual girl would have me make two trips). As she was rinsing she kept saying«oh my god!» or «this has never happened to me in my entire career!). Cool story, girl. My hair’s never fallen out like this in my entire life. She wouldn’t even show me all the hair that had come off either was like uh, you probably don’t want to part your hair in the middle for… A while. Toner lady then said, «this is why you need to get your roots done sooner». Honestly, I just wanted her to take responsibility. She(sorta) covered it up by side parting my hair. My straight front bangs had to be cut even shorter to somewhat help me from looking worse. She put product in my hair to help hide the wicked hair loss. It was kind of her not to have me pay the full amount of like 75/hr after being there for at least 3 and leaving with maybe 20% of my hair bleached off. But I still paid. Which my other hairdresser friends said was no bueno. She also gave me her card to come to do some toning for free i think but I was way too numb to ever want to go back or even complain at the counter. Good thing I brought a toque. When I got home and rinsed out the product… It literally looked like a blonde halloween mullet wig. Super sexy. Totally rocked it. Thanks ladies. Happy Birthday weekend for sure.

WORST ever because of the following: 1. Receptionist messed up my booking. She confirmed my appointment Aug 14, 2014(thursday) afternoon. But when they called me back to they said no one booked me on that date so I had to book another one(a later date, Aug 16, which pissed me off because I was ready to get my hair done before friday) 2. Kathy, the manager and the one who did my hair, didn’t discuss the cost of my Balayage ombré before she started. What she did was she looked at the picture I showed her, started to colour my roots and then thats when she realized that she had to discuss the price FIRST before even starting. What if I didn’t approved of the price? She also said that she charge more than her staff(which was not mentioned at all by the receptionist). The only reason why I went forward with the balayage ombré is because she started colouring my roots already. She charged me for $ 210 plus tax for the balayage ombré. 3. False advertising. It was advertise in both the store and the actual chatters website that customers who get a colour service in August will have a free gift(see photo attached). When I asked for it after my colour was done, the receptionist said that they«don’t have it anymore.» I told them«well, I got my colour done and I paid a lot so I expected that gift. If you don’t have it anymore its not my problem. At least give me something that you have since I am entitled to receive something.» Then the receptionist said she cant and she cant do anything about it. 4. Both the manager, Kathy, and one of the receptionist confirmed that they can re-do my balayage ombré for free as long as its within two weeks after getting it done(if I am not happy/satisfied with it). I called them the next day to ask for a re-do. The receptionist said Kathy will call me back about the re-do on tuesday(Aug 19). So, she called me tuesday; she said that she cant re-do it. She also said that if I really want to get it done I would have to pay more money(She quoted that I would have to pay«$ 65» to get the tips of my hair lighter). THISISRIDICULOUS! So, because of these reasons, I am forced to call the district manager to complain. I am not going to stop until they do something about it. They need to fix my hair because they are entitled to(I paid that much money for a reason!). Also, they should at least talked to Kathy, the manager, about this. How come she’s the manager when she cant even do her job right? I AMNOTHAPPYWITHTHESERVICEATALL!

I don’t know what the other reviewers her are talking about, but with the language they use in their reviews, its little wonder they where treated poorly. If you used the«B» word to me, in my place of work, Id refuse service, and ask you to leave and never come back too. I have been here a few times, to purchase high end hair tools, and have found the staff knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. The cuts are reasonably priced for a ladies cut and style. Now that my hairdresser has switched salons to here, of corse, I have followed her– it took a year to find a good lady– I won’t loose her! I can say that knowing my hairdresser for MANY years, she is not the type of person to go into a rude or negative environment either, so… if you are looking for a GREAT cut, and professional staff, this is the place to go.
