The food here is good, however, the service is consistently slow. Whenever someone in my family stops by to pick up hamburger buns or something to go, it’s a way bigger production than what’s even worth it, as another customer may have just come in to order a complex smoothie or something that takes a while before we can even check out with our already made bread we grabbed off the shelf. There are usually two young girls working(probably doing their best), but in the food service industry there needs to be an experienced adult taking charge, who knows how to move food and customers.

I haven’t eaten the food so will repost again later, but I must say the atmosphere is less than inviting. The counters are cluttered there are delivery Tupperware boxes cluttering the path to the till and blocking the show cases that present the food. There is no music playing and the vibe is like going to an old going out of business corner grocer. For a franchise that is just started growing they need to take more pride in ownership. Hand written price tickets on merchandise made on receipt tape just doesn’t cut it in my eyes. For an eat in restaurant I don’t think they get many people who want to stay and eat here. Unfortunately, this is not my first experience like this with Healthy Monkey. A couple months ago I stopped at the location in ocean park and proceeded to walk right out. Again, the floor space was crowded and messy, there was no clear menu and again no staff to friendly greet me or help me order. I hope the food makes up for this terrible review on their atmosphere and environment because currently this is not a place I want to revisit.

Confession: I don’t generally like«healthy» food. It’s usually boring, flavorless, and un satisfying. This is anything but! Had their open faced monkey breakfast sandwich and it was SO delicious. So fresh and flavorful. And their fresh homemade salsa is so good. Also had the fresh squeezed orange & apple juice and it was really tasty. Will definitely be back to try their burgers, and try more of their smoothies. The peanut butter madness protein smoothie sounds right up my alley. I will definitely be back. It tastes like really yummy homemade food… if you had time to make it and had all fresh organic ingredients ;). Very reasonably priced and generous portions too.

Was so excited to visit here after going to All of Oils, but very disappointed. We picked up the Chicken Curry Bowl — one with Quinoa and one with Black and Brown Rice. I found it inedible. Not sure if there was a spice in there I didn’t like but yuck! My mom ate hers, thought it was meh! We also purchased a carrot cake bar and a peanut butter bar. The carrot cake bar was gross(weird taste) and the peanut butter bar was better, but I wouldn’t waste the calories on it. I wish we would have eaten there as I would have asked for my money back(and I have never, ever done something like that). Do not recommend and would never go back there again.

Four of us went for breakfast to try The Healthy Monkey for the first time. We had Two Egg Sandwich — gluten free option, Power Breakfast Bowl, Egg Whites Breakfast Burrito & a chocolate banana smoothie. All great! Truly healthy tasting, freshest of ingredients & piping hot to our table. We will be back, and often. I see it becoming a regular breakfast spot.

I’ve had the hummus and chicken wrap a few times from here, and dayyyum it’s good. Add a box of the potato salad and it’s the perfect lunch. The wraps also come with a side, the coleslaw is my favorite. It’s tasty enough to feel like an indulgence, but is actually good for you! Other stuff: — The ladies working there are always really friendly and helpful — It’s bright and clean inside — Décor/ambiance is meh, but it’s more of a to-go place anyways — They sell a lot of gluten free stuff

Freshly made breakfasts(only thing I’ve had here so far), this place also sells some organic items(chips, etc) and vitamin supplements in the back. Not the coziest of places however great spot to eat out if you want something healthy.
