We are Canadians living in the USA, who upon coming home head straight to the White Spot for a Double Double and Zoo sticks. The South Surrey location is immaculate and the staff and service are awesome! For my American friends visiting Vancouver the White Spot is an absolute must… Without a doubt the most delicious and unique burger anywhere!

Omg. Really. Fill up my dang milkshake glass. What’s with this place. Been a favorite of mine when visiting from Ca for years. Now I read this guy complaining about the shakes and here we go. I order 5 shakes for my kids and get the same rip off short fill. Talk about the glass is half full. It’s half empty. Come on white spot. Don’t be so obvious about being a cheap company.

White Spot is always solid and definitely provides great memories every time I go. Food is consistent and service is usually good but I’m going to have to agree with the poster about rhe milkshakes. Used to get a full glass and half a canister but now you get a glass not even filled to the top with barely any extra! I loved these milkshakes growing up but now I never order them anymore.

Service can be slow here and they have messed up my meals on several occasions, however, it’s White Spot, good for kids and in a nice location, I always end up coming back.

White Spot always good but they are stingy with their milkshakes at the Morgan crossing location. They fill glass to about 70%, then small portion in metal cup which barely gives you a full Glass. Used to be you received full glass of shake with another half glass in the metal cup. Complained to no avail.

For a franchised restaurant you would think good cooking systems would be well established and executed close to perfection. That was not the case tonight. Our arrival at 6pm was great to start. Friendly greeters, good manager and we were seated promptly. The waitress came within minutes to order our drinks and then that’s when the wheels fell off. Now understand this. When you have two kids under the age of 4 you really don’t want to drag out dinner for approx 1.75 hours. Buuuuut this is exactly what happened. Our drinks arrived 15 minutes later. Then our order was taken moments later which at that point I thought great now we are humming — ummm no. Our food arrived a helluva long time afterwards. No waitress to come and say sorry, no kids meals arriving earlier. Nothing but neglect and forever alone for my party of 6. What’s worse is the the place was not busy!!! So I sat there perplexed by the lack of service. When our food finally arrived it was hot — thank the gods — and it tasted yummy. Just as I would expect from Whitespot. But did we get a «sorry it took so long» nope. Our preggers waitress was either clueless or didn’t give a crap. Either way I’m not happy. This place gets one star. I debated in two but I honestly can’t give them that courtesy because when I go to a restaurant to eat half the ratings come from service. Since this was unbearable. They don’t deserve anything more than a measly star.

Food was superb but this review is on the service and atmosphere. Came here with the family(two adults and two kids under two) the hostess was super nice and accommodating to us as we needed a booster seat and a high chair and after a few minutes we got our seats. Cross from us were a group of the typical South Surrey«cougars» who even though they were finished their meal when we sat down they were still there right till we left. The entire time we ate we all received sneers and dirty looks from all of them despite my children were being really good and not being noisy. I guess my family’s lunch out ruined their wine at 12:30 in the afternoon, going to complain about my husband luncheon. The waitress we had was just unimpressed from the minute we sat down and that spiralled into awfulness for the rest of the afternoon. No cheeriness, passion, or enthusiasm. She just seemed pissed the entire time we were eating there and it seemed like my kids were a total bother to her. Did I enjoy my stay and eat here? Food yes as it came out fresh and fast but the atmosphere of Cougar Town and awful service make me want to avoid this White Spot like that Twilight werewolf guy going to a girls birthday party!!!

This is my go-to for my weekly tea date with my mama, and while I didn’t enjoy it too much when I first visited, it’s definitely grown on me! In comparison to the location uptown, this one has a better feel. Only recently erected(seemingly out of nowhere), everything is shiny and new. There aren’t as many booths as there could be, but the open concept is pleasing to the eye and gives a nice airy feel to the place. The restrooms are also incredibly spic ‘n span, with automatic everything and Dyson Airblade dryers, which I quite like. Normally, I don’t eat here. I’m merely a tea-sipper and fruit bowl-nibbler for the most part, but I recently switched it up and ordered a salad. I took a little from one salad, a little from a different salad, dressing from another, and finally a few slices of pineapple to put in, with this and that on the side. Definitely a confusing order, but our waitress delivered without a mistake, and my concoction was healthy and delicious! Mama and I tend to linger here for several hours, too lost in conversation to think about leaving, but we’re never rushed out and always receive great service with a smile. Diners be warned, however! With Grandview Corners just steps away, this spot is packed to the rafters at lunchtime, so be prepared for a few minutes wait!

This is not my first visit to a White Spot restaurant, but it is my first time at this location. As far as casual dining chains go I find White Spot not too bad in general, but in my opinion the quality of food, service and satisfaction can vary widely between locations. FIRSTIMPRESSION We arrived just after 6 pm, so the restaurant had a lot of activity. The hostess told us there would be a 5 – 10 minute wait for a table, but as she said this I noticed there were a number of empty, yet uncleared tables. After less than five minutes the hostess was ready to seat us, but I was surprised when we were taken to a table in the bar rather than in the dining room. The bar was fairly noisy and our table was directly underneath a TV blasting out a hockey game. Neither I or my dining companion were happy with sitting in the bar and certainly not at the assigned table so we requested a table in the dining room. We were told it would take longer to get a table and the hostess left to find us another table. The hostess returned and took us to our new table. The new table while technically in the dining area was situated closer to the actual bar than the table we originally had. Plus, instead of dealing with the noise from one TV we got to enjoy the noise from the three TVs above the bar(see photo). On a positive note our minds were somewhat taken away from the bar noise as the table was also the closest to the guest waiting area and was in full view of the people waiting to be seated. An extra bonus was the cold draft as customers opened ad closed the door into the restaurant. At least the waiting guests could occupy themselves watching us eat. While I could see a few unoccupied tables in the dinning area I’m prepared to give the hostess the benefit of the doubt and suggest she thought I requested the absolute worst table location in the restaurant. THEFOOD I ordered the beef dip with zucchini sticks and a Coke. I have ordered this same meal at other White Spot locations so knew that it is usually a good choice. My dinner arrived(see photo) and looked tasty. The zucchini sticks were hot, firm and flavourful. The beef was a good portion(Nat size), but barely warm which was surprising as the bread it was between was hot. Despite the combination of warmish meat between hot bread overall I would rate my beef dipper in the area of mediocre. THESERVICE Our server was friendly, but I think he might have had too many tables as we didn’t see him at our table often. For example, I waited approximately 10 minutes before I was able to get his attention for a Coke refill. My dining companion didn’t care for her meal and left more than half of it. When the server picked up her plate he must have noticed very little was eaten, but he made no inquiry as to her satisfaction with the meal. Before we ordered we requested separate checks, but at the end of the meal we were presented with a combined one. I called the server back and he returned after a time with the individual checks as we had requested. OVERALL I will continue to try the White Spot chain, but it’s unlikely I will revisit this location again.

This White Spot is the first place my husband and I ate when we moved to BC. Since then we’ve heard many Canadians compare it to the US’s Applebees or Chili’s but after eating there, we like it SO much more than the US «versions»! We haven’t explored much of the menu, but the burgers we are were tasty and the milkshakes were DELISH! But my favorite part, hands down, were the sweet potato fries! They were so yummy on their own, but dipped in the chipotle mayo sauce… OH-EM-GEE. That chipotle mayo sauce is the perfect compliment to the sweet potatoes. And we didn’t feel like we were being ripped off by the price either. Milkshakes + fries + affordability = me in heaven. Thanks White Spot!

Went here for diner after work. Very nice inside. One of the newer style buildings in the white spot chain. I ordered the Mediterranean Chicken Burger with yam fries. This burger is a greek dinner in a bun. It was delicious. «Fresh chargrilled lemon-herb BC chicken breast with red pepper, cucumber, lettuce, tomato, cream cheese and feta.» The yam fries had a nice crispy coating and were served very hot. On the side was chipotle mayo which was surprisingly spicy. The service was spot-on. They checked on us several times to make sure everything was fine.

The service has dropped since the beggining big time. Please get the old service levels back up to what they were. I still enjoy going but the standards are dropping here.

We’ve been coming here several times since it opened and food/service was OK. Our recent visit for brunch confirmed that this place will not be on our list again unless we’re craving a Legendary Burger meal. Many restaurants from our experience make one good thing and that’s all you should eat there. We ordered the Nat’s Hearty Breakfast since we were hungry and remembered how big it used to be. To our surprise our plates came with one scrambled egg(instead of 2) with 2 crisp slices of bacon, 2 sausages, toast and overly burnt«smashed» potatoes. Not appealing, who eats black squished potatoes? For $ 11 each I was like WTF is this? Seriously? And coffee is like $ 2.50? We talked to our waitress who was clueless about what to do. She did eventually bring out another scrambled egg for us along with a better potato. But when you’re half way through your meal, you just want to finish and leave. Spoke with the manager after who agreed with us but instead of compensating the meal cost, just gave us a coupon for another meal for the next visit. Smart. Is this a new trend now and with an expiry date on it too. I’m not surprised that service is going down hill when every service person is an unexperienced 20 year old. Something has to give. When you live out in the suburbs, you try to support your community, walk over instead of driving is a convenience, but for a bad meal, no way. Next time I’m driving and if need be, into Vancouver for a better experience.

Eating dinner at the bar on high stools while watching the waterfall, creates a whole new experience. Especially when accompanied by my fave Granville Island pale ale on tap. Service always good and friendly and food served promptly. Food is okay and all in all a positive experience.
