Fruit cup. crispy hash browns. Hidden gem. First, Surrey doesn’t have brunch places… so where did this come from?!? I was just as surprised when a friend told me about it. Second, the fruit cup! Most places when you order a fruit cup you’d expect the generic 3 fruit combo, but this place looks like they actually put some lovin’ into their fruit selection. Mine even had a few raspberries. Third, got the benny, great safe choice with any unknown place and I stand by that. But the hash browns is what takes the cake! Light and crispy on the outside. Random:This joint looks like it’s a Korean restaurant converted into a diner, quirky but love the brunch feel so will definitely be back.

Good breakfast/brunch. Just came from my first trip there and enjoyed: — quick and courteous service — tasty food(made with love, you can always tell!) — fresh fresh fresh fruit! Fruit salad included more than just melons and grapes, kiwis/strawberries and more Really happy to find this place :)

Was in Surrey recently and was starving so looked up Unilocal for a brunch place and Jasna Café popped up a few blocks from me. I found exactly what I was looking for: a good brunch for a good price. Not sure what else to say. Friendly staff, quiet place, had the standard eggs, meat, potatoes and toast brunch that I so love. Quality was middle of the road, but for the price point it’s actually pretty good. I recommend if you want a decently priced solid breakfast to start your day.

Environment: I found it hard to feel comfortable because the restaurant is so small, it feels like you’re sitting on top of other people. I didn’t want to talk to my spouse because I felt like everyone could hear our conversation, because there was no privacy at the tables or booths, and everyone is squished together. The restaurant has no natural light, lit completely with invasive fluorescent lighting that feels too bright and unnatural. The restaurant has windows from two walls, but they’re plastered with advertising, so no outdoor light enters the premises. There was no music or TV, so you can hear all the conversations from people around you. The restaurant is poorly decorated. No effort went into making it a comfortable modern environment. Laminate tables that are peeling. Tight booth seating. No design sense in the choice of wall colors, furniture, floors, or even the cloud-painted ceiling tiles. Services: The staff was too invasive. Before I could read the menu, I was already being asked for my order. When I said I wasn’t ready, the staff asked me almost every 60 seconds if I knew what I wanted now, each time they walked by my table. I felt needlessly rushed and pressured. The issues are compounded because there is no separation between dining area and checkout counter. The staff is staring at me while I eat, no sense of privacy or comfort. Food: The food is overpriced and lacking in taste. Grocery store quality tea bags are charged at $ 3.00/ea. The hash browns were dry and sad, felt like they were store-bought Presidents Choice brand of frozen foods, and even then poorly prepared. The prices are laughable considering the poor investment in a comfortable restaurant environment, and the poor quality of the ingredients. Menu: Even the menu is pathetic. Looks like a dyslexic child’s 3rd grade homework assignment. No consistency in capitalization, spacing, or punctuation. Looks cheap and unprofessional, a rushed job in MsWord by someone with no design/publishing experience. The verdict: amateurs running a restaurant. Food is overpriced considering the low-cost Surrey real-estate location and poor quality ingredients, restaurant experience, and food choices. I paid waaaay too much for two simple underwhelming breakfasts.

Lived in the area for just under a year and I’m kicking myself for not finding this place sooner, I was looking for a great Breakfast /Brunch place in Surrey and Jasna definitely fills that void. Everything is delicious!

I came here with my friend for the first time. Small restautrant but very friendly service! Love the fresh fruits! The amount was generous! The owner told me they do homemade Hush Brown and the Benny is popular here. I am coming back to try them next time.

Great selection of the standard breakfast choices. The fresh fruit bowls are amazing! You do not not get your typical fruit bowls. You get kiwi, raspberries, honeydew etc. They are generous with the hollandaise sauce on their egg benny. No complaints with the food. Also, the prices are fantastic. It is cheaper than the bigger chain restaurants. Service was friendly. Ambiance can leave a lot to be desired. It looks like the restaurant was once a Japanese restaurant with the booths. Then someone decided to add a fresh coat of blue paint. Restaurant was clean and tidy which is a plus. It is worth a visit when you are craving breakfast, and great prices.

Live near this place, and have driven by a million times, so the roomy and I decided to try it for breakfast today. We got the 5Star Breakfast… SOGOOD. Serving size was healthy, food was cooked perfectly. The décor is dingy and outdated, but I couldn’t care less about that. 10⁄10 will eat here again.
