Best sushi place around. very affordable and fresh! my favourite is the deep fried sushi!

This is one of the best sushi place in the neighbourhood. Unfortunately, the service is just so so. We always runout of tea or water and you have to personally ask for refill every time. The place is always busy with take out orders in the evening and it takes a bit of a wait for your order to come.

Hands down favourite sushi restaurant around! Great price and excellent specialty rolls. Well worth the drive if you are around the area.

This used to be my go-​to place for Japanese food, however sadly the service has gone way down hill. They always seem to be understaffed, and the servers are so busy that it seems as though they don’t have time to be friendly. I was in with a friend recently whose toddler started to cry and we actually received glaring looks from the staff and felt pressured to leave. Very disappointing as the food has always been consistently good.

they have a variety of different items on their menu, not just limited to Japanese cuisine. their staff is very kind, and attentive. the location will likely throw you off, but once you step inside you’ll love the whole vibe. it’s Japanese with a fun twist! photos all over the walls of people who ate there, along with photos of the food on their menu. there are no booths in the restaurants, all tables and chairs. the restaurant itself isn’t that big, it can probably accommodate for a group of 10 people but call ahead to arrange anything. take out is always an option :)

I stopped at this place around 2 pm on a Saturday. Ordered sushi rolls and an appetizer. The rice was completely dried. No taste. Chicken teriyaki was completely tasteless too. Felt almost like chewing cardboard. Very disappointed. Appetizer was ok though (don’t remember what it was). Paid $ 16 for 3 rolls + appetizer. This place is very so so. I’m sorry. Won’t come back :-(

We stopped in here on a whim, very happy we did. Great service, food and atmosphere. Interesting rolls as well as the classics. We are from Kelowna and found the prices very reasonable.

I just went to Tobiko Sushi last night and I was amazed!!! HUGE salmon sashimi pieces and the rolls were de-​lish! Usually I get the standard rolls but I tried the specialty rolls here and they were so tasty! I recommend the Volcano and Hurricane rolls!!!

Stopped in for the first time and will DEFINITELY BE BACK AGAIN! Tons of choice on the menu, great prices and the food was awesome. The sashimi box was very tasty, the gyoza done perfectly. A packed out eatery on a tuesday night is a very good sign. You won’t be disappointed!

Sushi is SOOO good! Recommended if you have little time and want good food!

Thought it was horrible. Served a bad item and they wouldn’t strike it off the bill or admit it was bad. Lousy place. Will not return. Over 4 $ food item. Sheesh

I agree with the other reviews, it’s a quick go-​to sushi place for a meal, but I prefer Yoko Sushi across 160^th beside the Clancy’s Meat Co. :)

This was one of our favorite stops to grab dinner on short notice. My son loves the hot pot and we always enjoyed the Tempura.
We had no kids and headed up there the other night and had a horrible experience.
I think we have eaten there 20 times over past 2 years. This was a turning point.
We ordered Terriyaki Chicken Box, Miso Soup, Tempura, Sunomono Salad, and some Sashimi.
The chicken terriyaki must have been a reheat from lunch or something. It had that rubbery reheated taste like it was cooked earlier. Perhaps the day earlier. We pointed it out to the waitress and she had this, oh not again, look as she took it back for replacement. What came back tasted bad as well. Unusual as we have ordered that many times in the past.
The Tempura was… oh it never arrived.
The Sonomono salad was… oh it never arrived.
They forgot about our order!
This is a very small restaurant. We were seated at 5pm when only half tables seated.
The waitress kindly offered to take the stuff that never arrived off our bill. We didn’t like the attitude at all and they offered nothing.
We are so sad but something has changed at Tobiko. New management perhaps?
We left hungry and sad that we decided not to return.

This place doesn’t have a lot of tables and is usually busy. It is a good place for take-​out. We were very impressed with amount of items on the menu. They have a lot of combination meals and specialty rolls. You have to try their dragon rolls. The Hawaii Dragon and Rock and Roll was very tasty. Sashimi was pretty decent. Overall I would say you can’t go wrong with this little place. We will be coming back for sure!

This place is my go-​to for a quick sushi fix but is not entirely convenient for that late evening craving; their last call is at 8pm most nights. The sushi tastes great and I especially like their creative special rolls — the yellow dragon is my favorite… Seared chopped scallops? Yum! Service is very slow though, they seem always short of wait staff and put their phone in/​take out orders first before attending to customers dining in. It’s a shame because the dine in customers are more likely to leave good tips. If you’re craving sushi «to go» early in the day or evening it’s worth trying.

I really enjoy eating at this place. I highly recommend trying the super tiger roll and prawn tempura.

Worst sushi ever. Not only did it take forever but the sushi was disgusting. My avacado rolls were mushy and the avacado tasted like it had turned. The yam tempura rolls had no yam just flakes of tempura. Do yourself a favour and save your stomach. Go somewhere else.

This is my neighborhood sushi bar. My Friday’s consist of watching movies and getting take-​out from Tobiko Sushi. They have some very interesting rolls and economical party trays. My favorite is the prawn tempura and spider roll.
