I like beer & wine. I needed beer, and wine, forgot to bring it from home and on the way to Christmas dinner, we took a chance and they were open on Christmas day, poor things, but I was super appreciative… so grateful, in fact that I got really chatty with the cashier… she was friendly efficient, a little surly… a trend in these places and clearly not happy to be working Christmas.
She offered me free ice, I gladly accepted, bought my stuff and left, wishing her a hearty Merry Christmas.
I thought I paid a pretty good price for what I bought, considering it wasn’t a government store and I’m used to being gouged in E Van at the beer & wines for the beer & wine.
It wasn’t until just this week I was going over my receipts, and I realized that I hadn’t been charged for the wine.
Merry Christmas indeed.
