White Spot Panorama

This review will focus on the Panarama Pick Up «experience».
I ordered two burgers and spaghetti for the family via the White Spot website at 6:35. Pick Up was scheduled for 7:00…yeah right! I showed up at 6:55 and was told that there were a couple of orders ahead of me. Fine. At 7:15 I enquired about my order and was told it was coming right up. But I was starting to get worried because there were quite a few people that had been waiting for pick up just as long as me.
And just to paint an accurate picture, the restaurant was not «slammed». The bar area was virtually empty, and the restaurant area had many empty tables.
7:25 rolls by and I’m starting to lose my patience. It’s now been 50 minutes since I placed my order, and I’ve been sitting waiting in the restaurant with my hungry 7 year old for 30 minutes.
7:30 and I finally get my bag of food. Apologies from the «manager» about the wait, but there was nothing they could do they said, it was just too busy… ummm What!
You’d think this disaster would be over right? Wrong.
I drive home with the food and start handing it to the family, and guess what? They forgot my burger!!!
Now I’m absolutely livid!
I drive back down to the White Spot and tear a strip off their useless «manager» and ask them if it will be another 50 mins for my burger. She disappears into the back for a few minutes and brings out a burger and fries and a $ 20 GC. $ 20 are you kidding me? More yelling and I get $ 60 in GCs. Which just covered the cost of the meal.
Back home and I discover that my burger is clearly the original one they forgot. It’s soggy and squished.
So all in all it took 1 hour and 20 minutes to get 2 hamburgers and 1 spaghetti!!!
What an utter joke of a restaurant. Many better options in this neighbourhood. I won’t be back.

1. Their broccoli chicken cheese is terrible compared to the other White Spots in Surrey. It’s dry, overcooked yet the broccoli is hard? Weird.
2. Everytime I call to order take-​out they tell me the wait is 25 – 45 minutes. I show up at 15 minutes and the restaurant is nearly empty and get my food within 5 minutes of arriving. Do they do that because they hate doing take-​out? I always tip well!
This restaurant location is on my way home from work but I purposely go out of my way to go any other White Spot location (heck, any Triple O location!) because their food and service is way better.

This is the closest restaurant where I live yet I only go there once a year (maybe) for the same reason as those negative reviews mentioned. Those reviews hit the nail on the head with their poor service and their indifferent management. White Spot in general is a great restaurant to go in general to but this location is the worst one of the bunch.

Horrible! I went in once and the server was very rude, and told me I didn’t get zoo sticks with something I ordered when I did then threw them down on the table for me. I complained and got a 25 dollar gift voucher. A few weeks later decided to go in and again… horrible! We sat with no drink for 20 minutes and she only came to our table 4 times in a hour and a half — seat us, give us food, give us drinks, and bill.

This is actually the worst white spot I have ever been to. The service is always terrible, the servers are rude and they’re costumer service is just plain bad. The food is bland, and in multiple occasions it has been delivered to me cold.
Every time I complain I get no where, get a little lame apology and that’s about it.

Follow Up: After I sent a message to White Spot’s website complaining about what happened, the manager phoned me up, and apologized. He offered a gift certificate which was nice, and sure enough we got a $ 30 in the mail shortly after.
I wasn’t able to go and use the certificate, but my wife did when she was out with my daughter. The food and service seemed to be better, according to her. The only minor negative was that she didn’t spend all the $ 30, and had about $ 9 leftover. The server simply told her that no credit was given for the $ 9. Fair enough, but it would have been nice if she had been told this before she got her bill. She could have ordered some take out or something.
We’ll try it again, and hopefully this White Spot gets better.

I’ve dined at this restaurant on about ten occasions since it opened, primarily because I get dragged hear by my parentals. Food is standard White Spot fare, but at this location in particular it seems to be lacking a certain west coast flavor.
Service today was excruciatingly slow; we waited over 20 minutes to receive pie following our dinner (did they need to light a wood stove prior to cooking?). My mother said «it took longer to receive the pie than our food». Not a single water refill offered though our glasses were empty after the first 20 minutes of our 60 minute meal.
Given the choice, I would not return.

The White Spot is just a good family restaurant and I enjoy going there. I wish the breakfast menu was abit bigger but I won’t complain. I don’t eat the burgers as I don’t see all the fuss but find the menu overall done well and tasty. I have tried probably half of it!

The classic BC family restaurant. White Spot conjures up good memories for many in these parts whether it is a pirate pack, triple O sauce, eggs Benny, or coffee and pie with the family.
If you have never been to White Spot, you need to try it.
The White Spot legendary burger is one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. I could probably eat one every day for the rest of my life and be happy (and tubby!). What makes the burger so great is the combination of the perfectly soft bun and the saucy goodness of triple o burger sauce. Triple O sauce is a mix of hamburger relish and mayo and it is awesome.
White Spot is also great for kids with their famous pirate paks. Pirate Paks are kids meals served in cardboard pirate ship, complete with chocolate coins for treasure.
White Spot has more than burgers and fries, but really I don’t usually order anything else.

Like the other reviews, this location is very convenient for take out & dine-​in. It is hit & miss with the orders being right, more on the hit side as of late. Just be sure to check your orders before you take it home. Good quality of food.

The location of this White Spot is convenient for us to pick up dinner using the online ordering system. Caveat: check your order before leaving, as we’ve experienced quite a few errors (the bacon mixed in the toppings on a veggie burger was the most alarming!)

Despite past poor experiences here, I still do return because it’s convenient for me.
The last bad experience I had a few weeks back — where I started walking out after 15 minutes of sitting there — was resolved by the manager who went over and beyond.
Tonight, the service was great, it was super busy, and I just want to touch on the new peanut butter jalapeño burger. It’s bold. And OK. I think it’s fine to try once, but I wouldn’t have it again. I didn’t really get the heat of the jalapenos, as the peanut butter kind of overtakes everything in your mouth as you chew. I’d give it a ³⁄₁₀.
On the other hand, had the asian nacho appy (not sure exactly what the name is), and it is delicious. Not a big portion, but delicious.

We’ve been to this location a few times already and the service everytime has always been good… no issues at all. Last night after church, we swung by for a late dinner. Our server was friendly & her service was pretty good. I didnt even have to ask for a refill… she was on top of it all. She brought me another before i finished. i was surprised. Usually ive got to wave the server down and it takes a while to get back. One of the chefs even came out and talked to us for a little bit.
Before i knew it the food was out. I had the mushroom burger… Food was 4 stars, service 4 stars. It tasted good and was quick!
