They were patient and kind with me while I was a brand new customer who were extreme confused with what was going on(drive late night from nanaimo, camped — all were done without any homework!). Plus with my weird food allergies, they were very accommodating too! Try what they recommend. I had the breakfast sandwich(big guy? I think). As they claim, eggs were so so tasty!!! Huge meal :)

The food was decent but the vibe wasn’t so good. It felt like being in someone’s disorganized house! The employees were a bit grumpy too.

I stopped in this place for late breakfast and coffee. Place is very chill and has great food and coffee. I had the corrisant sandwich with fresh egg and cheese. It was all very good. Their WiFi works great also!

This is one of my regular stops during my visits to Tofino. It is all about the breakfast sandwiches for me — specifically the Big Wave. Eggs, smoked salmon, cheese a nice sauce and greens on a bun — Big Wave for a big appetite(and a bit of a big price). I often ask for greens instead of a side of fruit. During the busy season be prepared to cram in like sardines to wait in the small foyer in front of the till. But for seating there is a spacious living room(yes, this is another coffee/breakfast shop in a remodeled house) and some nice outdoor tables(with no rain cover). They also offer 2 internet computers with printers for rent. I must confess — I have not tried many other entrees but the bowl of chilli with cheese on top and a nice slice of bread was good.

When in Tofino one of the places go to get their coffee is Café Vicente. This place is order at the counter and they bring the food to you. There is usually a line up but I wonder if that is due to popularity or the chaos behind the counter. Ordered two cappuccinos which were very good. The big gun breakfast sandwich was quite filling. Not the best breakfast we had but satisfying. Would I recommend this place to others? Sure! If you aren’t in a hurry this place is pretty good.

«Nothing special» We were here for a late lunch. That didn’t keep the staff from vacuum cleaning the seating area though. Fortunately one customer made a remark. We had some coffee and tea and both had the vegetarian curry stey since all chili was gone. I had a nice hot curry stew, my husband however had a cold one so he asked to re-heat it(all food was originally freshly made but after that re-heated by microwave I believe since it was so extremely hot). After it was re-heated we both enjoyed our stews next to the vaccum cleaner which was still there and giving a funny smell to the place. We enjoyed the meal, but it was nothing special. We’ll be in Tofino for a couple of days but won’t return to this place.

Went here on a whim for breaky with the family one morning. The food was good but it took forEVER to get it! Poorly staffed and cramped seating. It’s a bit chaotic when you first walk in: they shove a couple of menus in your hand and ask you to find a seat. Walk up to order & then wait… they call your name when it’s ready. On top of that: it’s vastly overpriced… But that seems to be the general practice in Tofino.

Though they were slammed when we were there the food(breakfast sandwiches) was very good, the coffee rich and dark, and the small town local ambiance was a nice feel.

This goes for most spots in Tofino, the service staff could use an attitude check. For many people english is not their first language. Lets be a little sensitive. The food is mediocre here, the service is super slow. However if your hotel doesnt come with breakfast, you are bound to end up here. This is a touristy town, smiling once in a while will only have them come back sooner. Too bad, when you visit a cute little town, you hope the stores also make you feel welcomed.

Can you say Black Forest Ham? Well this place sure can! We came here for breakfast one morning. It was pretty busy which was a good sign. Inside is pretty small and they only have about 8 tables to sit. Coffee was really good but the breakfast was lacking. Felt like everything except for the waffles has Black Forest ham. And it’s the kinda ham that you buy in the deli at Safeway. I had the breakfast croissant that was ok except for the slimy ham inside. Kids did have the waffles that they said was pretty good. Orders are taken at the counter and brought to the table. Staff seemed a wee bit stressed out when we were there and not overly friendly. They got the job done though. Bonus — Unilocal breakfast special. And guess what it comes with??? Yep — ham!!!

We’ve been here for lunch… twice. Reliably good comfort food. Although I don’t drink coffee, my partner does and said it was good. We tried Vincente’s chili last year and have thought about it often since. Had to come back this year and have it again. You can have a half sandwich with soup or chili which is great for re-fueling for the afternoon. I had the roast beef sandwich which I highly recommend. Great bread and a good combination of flavours. Nice! My partner had the italian sandwich and complained that he wished he’d ordered the full sandwich LOL. Walk in, grab a menu and have a seat while you decide what you want to eat. Go up to the front when you’re ready to order and then wait patiently while your food is prepared fresh and with care. Worth the wait. Enjoy!

This is definitely a nice little place. I am always suspicious of coffee quality and freshness in tourist destinations. Vincente didn’t let me down. The quality of the espresso was amongst the highest I have ever encountered! What a relief! This place is laid back. If, you are in a hurry, for some reason, the staff won’t be! This doesn’t bother me in the least bit. I like to believe that the extra time that it takes to make your food equals gold in the taste department. It was a nice experience in such a beautiful place.

I may have come on an off day but the soup was cold and salty, the wifi didn’t work and hadn’t for a while, it was dingy and had blaring death metal playing.

Nice staff. Very friendly people. Not the best for lunch. They have a small menu and today three items were not available thus limiting our choices. The veggie curry was OK but the sandwich was overloaded with mayonnaise. Also the tables were dirty and we had to clean off our own silverware. Nice but I would not go back.

We ate breakfast at Caffe Vincente. It was ok. We had Belgian waffle and the South Beach plate. This was a low carb option, with eggs on cheese on thin ham slice. It would’ve been better with a nice thick ham steak and fruit cup. The concept was a bit better than the execution. Coffee was good.

DELICIOUS! the service here is really friendly, love love loved it :) My boyfriend and I went there for lunch twice in our 3 day trip ha. I ordered the chilly con carne, it was really tasty! all I needed after my morning surf at chesterman beach. My boyfriend had the ciabatta sandwich. It came with a small fruit salad on the side. he said it was very good i did not try it but it looked amazing. I also had a latte :) very good too. I will highly recommend you to go here and eat. We drove around looking for coffee on a morning where electricity was out almost everywhere in town from the previous nights storm. Luckily, Caffe Vincente was open and running with a limited menu thanks to their trusty generator. Most importantly, the espresso machine was a go!!! The people working here are laid back and a little slow. But if you’re in Tofino, it’s probably to chill out a bit so might I suggest you place your order and just relax. It’s seriously not a big deal. Plus the coffee is excellent and i LOVE the added stir stick touch(just check them out when you go… i don’t want to ruin the surprise!). Only thing I ate was a granola parfait and it was delicious! I have no idea where they got those strawberries from cause even the ones in Vancouver this time of year are not that sweet and delicious. Maybe i was just hungry… Regardless, this is a great spot to curl up in one of the sofas, check your email or chat up the locals(please do, they are awesome people). And soon, they’ll be serving Tofino Coffee roasted right in Tofino! Be sure to ask for it.

Free wifi, and Unilocal breakfast special, perfect way to start a day in beautiful Tofino! Plus it’s right by the visitors centre so we had breakfast here while we waited for the visitors centre to open then headed next door to plan our day. I also had a delicious pain au chocolat, yum!

Only had the coffee on a cold rainy day. Great staff. Nicely flavored coffee. Had the mocha and a chai latte. Delicious. Will have to return for the chili which I hear is great.
