Very affordable, loads of(somewhat overwhelming) selection. It can be hard to navigate within the aisles but there does seem to be a method to it all. It’s my go-to place when I need cheap fabrics, they have lots of dirt cheap broadcloath and my favourite muslin-like fabric which is $ 2.99/yd. Definitely check the bins out front when you’re looking for cheap stuff.

I’ve visited the store a few times now and as someone who doesn’t frequent fabric stores because of the overwhelming feeling of being judged for not being a fabric connoisseur this place is for me. The first time I visited the store it was in the summer time, I had gone down most of Queen West on a Sunday looking for varying colours of felt. Every store I went into I felt shunned for asking such an absurd question as «do you carry felt» or there would be a very small selection(usually both). So I came into the store and there were 2 younger guys manning the cash/cutting area. They were SUPER helpful in showing me where the felt was and pulling everything down because I’m not a very strong person. They also searched everywhere for me for certain colours and even threw in extra thread for me as I was buying so much. Today, I revisited the store and there was only one guy there. I was in a rush and he was very welcoming but also efficient. I needed a specific material and he apologized that it would be at his unit next door(I think he was the owner). This was really not inconveniencing me at all because I’m glad he had the colour I needed and was very nice about everything we spoke about. All in all, great selection, good prices, amazing customer service. I recommend going to the store with the yellow sign(on the right) first because that’s where the guy who I think owns the place is. He’ll definitely get you what you need which helps especially in such a large space! Definitely do recommend.

Just bought some white linen for sewing curtains, and true to the store’s name, I got a good price. It seems if you pay in cash, sometimes they don’t charge you tax. I don’t know if I was dealing with the owner or not, but the guy I was dealing with had final-price-authority, and he was really nice. He went looking for cheaper options for me in the bins out front, and gave me a big free sample of blue burlap so I could see if it’s washable. While I was there an interesting mix of people came in, and he treated all equally. I’m always tickled by the variety of people who sew. Among the customers were two men who came in separately, both looking embarrassed to be there(what, are men not allowed to sew?). He chatted with them both & put them at ease.

I know nothing about textiles so my review is not related to materials they have and whether they’re good or not. They definitely seem to have a lot of variety. The guys in the right side shop seem incredibly knowledgeable and are super friendly. A breath of fresh air in downtown Toronto.

Absolutely amazing customer service, price, selection, quality. Will definitely be always be a loyal customer from now on, selection is stacked to the roof, and staff there to help out and answer any of my questions, with great pricing of course. Hands down the best fabric store in Toronto.

I love this place. This is my «go-to»! The store is fully stocked with an abundance of different cloth and material, clearly categorized and visible. The staff/owners are super friendly — especially the two younger brothers? Cousins? I’m not sure of their relation. They are very knowledgable, down to earth, and they are honest. I’m certain they are the most affordable on the block(duh, the name says it) but the quality of the stock and service is impeccable. The store is always busy. I highly recommend this place if you’re in need of cloth or sewing materials!

At first the walls of fabric is very overwhelming but that means there is lots to choose from. The staff was very helpful in assisting me with find the right fabric for the right price for my project. Definitely will return.

My first experience dealing with fabric stores, but found both of the guys who were working to be very helpful. I mentioned that I had just started a sewing class, and instantly they knew exactly what I needed — I guess a lot of us come in for that particular class! I will agree with other reviews, it is very cramped in there and kind of hard to find what you need(although they do keep all the beginners stuff right up front). It seems silly to me that they would separate stuff into two different stores, right next door to each other, but it wasn’t a huge hassle. Overall, the staff were very laid-back but helpful once asked, and though you do have to dig a bit to find exactly what you need, I didn’t have any problems and if I keep sewing, I will be back!

Good stuff, very helpful people but it is the most expensive place than other shops for the same kind of fabric… Last time I got my swimwear fabric, they marked it up too high. It Cost me the same price as buying a wool fabric for one meter… Always check prices with other shops before going here

This place is really tight to navigate in. I went in for sheer fabric and the employee showed me a certain type and when he left me I found something more fitting for my project. When I brought it up to the cash and he said«Oh you wanted cheaper fabric?» Cutomer service skills need to be improved, but the fact that they had what I was looking for, I was really impressed, and it was kind of affordable, but I think he just made up prices as someone brought fabric to him. There was no prices on the shelves with the fabric; be prepared to haggle for cheaper prices.

Very large place. It’s neatly organized by aisles, but in the aisles, it’s a mess. Some are too high up to even see. No point to look up because there’s not enough room in the aisle to even allow you to step back and look up. The workers are not helpful at all. Prices are pretty good. Check this place out if you are open to explore on your own or you are experienced with fabric and the millions of textures they have to offer.

As Tara A. said, this store is packed floor to ceiling with rolls and rolls of fabric! I sometimes have to «suck it in» just to feel like I can walk through the narrow aisles between the shelves. They carry a lot of fabrics for many different uses — my main reason for coming here is because they carry a decent colour selection of stretch PVC fabrics. It’s hard to browse in here since everything is so cramped and the air is stale, especially in the back of the store.

Besides the fact that you feel like you may not come out alive in this business(due to being smothered by fabric), this place is incredible. So many fabric options and a very helpful staff who is more than willing to hike their way thru the shelves of material to get you what you need. The prices are very affordable(good thing otherwise it would be false advertising) and the material is great quality. if you are a quilter or just of the crafty nature, you should go and check out this place.
