Love this place, the food is mostly home made and delicious. wings are great, made in house burgers and love the fish and chips. The portions are big and the prices are great. Very comfortable and friendly staff, I wish more of these places existed.

Wing Nights(Wednesdays and Saturdays) here are still the best wing deal in the neighbourhood: 3lb of wings(or a big platter of nachos) and a pitcher of beer for $ 25. That’s insane. The wings are big, juicy, and very tasty. I’ve had the wings at the big chain pubs(Saint Louis, Duff’s), and these are better. Here I’m just as happy with either part of the wing, whereas at other places I’m bogarting the drumlets. I’ve had the wings with medium and hot sauce. The hot sauce isn’t very hot, but it has good flavour. I like that the wings aren’t drowning in sauce; there is plenty and you can still eat them without creating too much of a mess. I’ve had the nachos, and they are right up there, too, but compared to 3lb of great wings? No contest. My friends like the burgers and the Greek salad here as well. Nothing fancy, just simple straightforward, and tasty. And still so reasonably priced. It’s a neighbourhood place, kind of dive bar-ish(in a good way), with lots of nice people. Becky is the best server in the area, always smiling and hospitable. It’s still a Wednesday night tradition.

I went there on a Wednesday night for their wing special. First, the wings are large which I am not a big fan of. Second, the wings were not cooked well done and were kind of soggy. Friendly staff and good atmosphere.

I’ve only ever been on a Wednesday or Saturday. Wednesday and Saturday are Aristotle and McGregor’s wing night! It’s definitely the best wing deal I’ve ever seen. 3lbs or wings and a pitcher(no limitations) for $ 19.99! It’s such a good deal that I have to admit I hate that it’s so close to my place. The wings are great. I’ve also had the nachos(alternative to wings) and they were delicious too! I’ve never actually seen their regular menu. The décor is very«Pubish.» Definitely nothing to write home about, but if you can get the front seat by the window, it’s really kind of nice. The service is sometimes slow, but it’s the bartender/owner and what seems to be a friend who helps out. I really can’t complain. They seem to remember us and are always friendly. I will continue to indulge in wing nights at Aristotle and McGregors!

This little pub may be overshadowed by it’s flashier neighbour(The Longest Yard), but once you spot the giant Steam Whistle ad, just south of Belsize on Mount Pleasant, promising only«natural blondes» then you’ve found a good little pub with an interesting twist. I’m not too familiar with a tradition pub with a Greek twist, but I’m certainly not turned off by the thought. And, after last nights experience, I’ll be back again. Wednesdays at Aristotle and McGregor’s are Wing and Pitcher nights. 3 lbs of wings and a pitcher for $ 20(as of June 25, 2009) is a great deal, but would it be too good to be true? When we asked our server for menus she seemed a little thrown, not because she didn’t want to help us, but because the wing special is so popular that no one orders anything else on Wednesdays. Our server was pleasant and patient as we made our decision. In the end we ordered Mozzarella sticks, a small Greek salad and the wing and pitcher special. The salad was big for a small, the mozza sticks were server hot, but not burning hot, so no complaints so far. 3 lbs of wings are a lot. And, being so popular we expected some concessions to be made. They were a little light on the sauce, but not so much that they lacked flavour. They also came with 2 sides of dipping sauce(Ranch I believe) and a few large pieces of celery and carrots. Typically, on cheap wing nights other places forgo the dips and veggies, so it was good they were included. You can also get nachos instead of wings, but we didn’t see anyone make that substitution. One downfall to the place is that they don’t have air conditioning(or it wasn’t running the night we were there). I personally didn’t mind as the fans they had running did their job and I was comfortable. Plus, the heat seems to go away as you reach the bottom of that first pitcher. The menu is a mix of regular pub fair and Greek standards. The prices are reasonable(especially considering this neighbourhood where everything feels overpriced). The crowds are mostly from the tennis court and baseball diamond on the other side of Mount Pleasant, with a selection of regulars as well. If you’re looking for good wings, a good deal and a nice atmosphere, I suggest you skip St. Louis and head East to Mount Pleasant.
