Food poisoning. Thanks greasy fish tacos with cabbage that could or not have been properly washed. I’ve also had their mac & cheese which was mediocre. But at least I didn’t get sick. It’s a serviceable pub but the menu can be improved. It’s not innovative and nothing on it entices you to order it. There are hardly any vegetarian options. The washrooms are clean and the faucet is motion sensitive which is good.

Good food. Nice place for groups or just a friend. Traditional pub food. Pricing not bad. Large portions.

We went back for one thing: the Mac & Cheese. This is a people mill, people! If you’re not what the waiter or waitress of the day likes, the service may be acceptable, but little of it will be genuine. Second last time we were there the Manager basically kicked us out because others were waiting to sit down. NOTE: We had not decided whether we were going to order more –e.g., drinks– but that pretty much tied it.

I’ve been here at least 20 times. The staff is always friendly and the service is fast. The atmosphere is great and very clean. There are 2 pool tables, although they are small and usually crowded on the weekend. The food is good but it used to be better. The last few times I have been in my food has been overcooked. The wings seem to have gotten smaller and are usually very dry. My girlfriend had the sliders and they were burnt to a crisp. I don’t want to say the food is terrible, I may have just been unlucky the past few times. If you like wings walk North a few blocks to St. Louis Wings.

I’m pleased to note that this is my local. I rarely set foot in the place before the major renovation, and wow, what a difference. It’s like a good episode of Kitchen Nightmares. The place basically transformed from a dank hole to a place where you happily take family and friends. There are a wide range of beers on tap, and the food is fantastic. The patio overlooking Yonge St is great in summer but it’s also cosy inside during the colder months so it’s a good year-round option. The staff are all friendly and efficient. Well played, The Bull, well played.

great bar with lots of friendly regulars. The food is VERY good, but a little bit too expensive. The club sandwich is amazing. Also the deep fried pickles are good. They have two pool tables with free pool on sunday’s and monday’s.

The bar was fully renovated lately and it looks great. Great bar and good food. Fairly quiet place with a good crowd, spacious with pool tables at the back. Good service and friendly bartenders.

Very cold drinks, nice pub fares, the look of a classical pub. The firking burger is one of the best burgers i ever try, not a big fans of the fries and wings. The staff is very friendly as well and the manager(johnny)that always greet us with a big smile. Definitely a pub to hang out.

I work basically next door so I pop in here from time to time to try their different dishes. Right now they have a «winter menu» with you classic belly warmers like mac n’ cheese, soups, grilled cheese, hot pots, etc. I’ve tried the grilled cheese which I quite enjoyed and the mac n’ cheese which was a disaster. It looks so gross to begin with — it’s suppose to be basked, uhh I don’t think it is. It’s sloppy and gooey — just not good at all. I’ve had their classic pub dishes as well — Pot pies, Fish & Chips which are always good choices. Next thing to try for me in the Yorkshire Pudding … I hope I won’t be disappointed.

My favorite Firkin. Mixed friendly crowd, fresh pours, real smiles, dated music… just how I like it. Nice high ceiling so get the wings.

This is a great pub! We often stop here for early dinner with the kids when we are visiting my mom and the service is always friendly. A few times we have made this the meeting place for a night out to meet up with friends and family… everyone always seems to enjoy their food and the staff always accommodate our large group. It is what it is … a pub ! A really great pub!

Nice open bar, yet cozy. Delightful servers and good pub food. By far the best of the Firkins and my favourite bar in the city.

Big space, decent sit-down place for lunch BIG Poutine: Pulled pork, bacon, cheese curd, gravy on fries– great for sharing. Done just right Curry Chicken– Lunch size: I don’t even wanna know what the non-lunch size was coz the lunch size was really big. Pretty decent. Not the best curry i’ve ever had in a pub, but fairly good with the rice and naan. Definitely generous portions Good, attentive service
