We would like to add our negative experience with Bijan Interiors. When we first met with the salesman, we informed him that we needed a fair amount of furniture for our new condo, and specifically told him what our budget was. He readily agreed that he’d be able to get back to us in a timely manner with a list of furniture that met both our taste and our budget. In the beginning, we fully expected to purchase 100% of the furniture we needed from Bijan Interiors. At first, the salesman sent us a few emails with pictures of various pieces of furniture(but suspiciously no price). From these, we selected about 25% of the furniture we required. Before we were able to continue selecting, the salesman asked us for a $ 500 deposit. At this point, we were not informed of the exact prices of the few pieces we had selected. Obviously we were wary of paying any money without knowing the total costs involved. So we requested the price quote for the pieces of furniture that we had selected so far. The salesman said he would email us the quote by noon the next day. That email never came. Instead, the salesman called us and informed us the costs of those few pieces of furniture would already be nearly double our total budget(keeping in mind this was only 25% of what we needed). But what really turned us off was the salesman contradicting himself. He initially advised us that sectionals were not a good idea for a condo. However, a few days later, he attempted to sell us a floor model sectional by saying that its colour and size were perfect for our condo, and that it’s the last one they have so if we buy it, our sofa would be unique. He even threw in 20% discount. We are not stupid and we can read between the lines that they simply wanted to get rid of the inventory. Upon seeing the sectional, it was obviously way too big for our condo. It seems the store’s needs trump the needs of the customers. In the end, we bought all our furniture from another company. The furniture we got are similar in quality and look as what we found at Bijan Interiors, but at much more reasonable prices.(The total prices of the 100% of the furniture from the other store are lower than the prices of the 25% of the furniture from Bijan Interiors.) Needless to say, we will never go back to Bijan Interiors.

Warning: please read my family’s personal experience. My family was looking for a high end Italian brand Cierre sectional. After searching around in Toronto we found on Bijan Interiors’ website that they carry Cierre and even posted Cierre’s product brochure. We paid a visit to the King St location in downtown Toronto(one of downtown Toronto’s famous area for high end furniture). We were greeted and serviced by the owner himself, Bijan. The average price for the sectional that we were quoted from another store was about $ 19,000. Now he didn’t have any piece of Cierre furniture in the store but told us he could order whatever we were looking for. So entrusting the owner we had put a $ 4000 deposit. Following, 2 days later we didn’t have a good feeling about this after the fact thinking how could such a high end company offer such a good deal(yes, now we know if it seems too good to be true then ITIS). So I had contacted Cierre’s head office in Italy to ask them to verify the legitimacy of our order if in fact our order was placed. Cierre responded back immediately in email stating that Bijan Interiors was not an authorized retailer and not allowed to sell their product and there was no way they could offer that price of that sectional as such a low price. We went to the store asking for a refund but the owner was not there, we called and finally got a hold of him but he refused and denied anything of it. Cierre had informed me they demanded the owner to remove their PDF catalogue off their website. The owner made a huge deal and yelled at me over the phone that I screwed over his business relations with Cierre as he was trying to become an authorized retailer and he had a «FRIEND» who was able to get him the authentic sectional for us at that price. We don’t doubt that he was going to replicate the piece of sectional from a local manufacturer. The owner would NOT give us our full deposit back but offered to give us $ 4000 worth of products in his store. Now of course we would never take it as it’s a matter of principle knowing this kind of unethical business etiquette would we even want any of his products in our home. And the other option was giving us back 25% of our deposit. After months and months of back and forth, we left the situation and just took this as LESSONLEARNED. $ 4000 is a lot of money but the price we paid is to have this story be heard by all potential buyers to understand what kind of bad business practice this is. There was originally many many bad reviews with people saying similar things along the same lines for their King St. location but oddly that page was removed. Well he must have done it to protect himself to hide. To the owner when you read this, you might have ripped my family off with our money but in the end you will get what you deserve. It may not be by the law, but your conscious and inside of you, you know what you did was wrong.

Bought a $ 300 coffee table from them a while ago. The coffee table on display had a big scratch on it. I stated explicitly that I would only buy if they have a new one. The owner promised me that, but when I got it a few weeks later, it was the same scratched item. Also, the delivery personnel was just the owner and a staff. The owner offered a discount on my next purchase, which I reluctantly accepted because I needed the coffee table. Because of dishonesty, I will never buy from them again, so I never used my discount.
