I have occasionally browsed in this elegant, conveniently located Apple boutique in Bloor West, but today was my first purchase. I needed to buy an accessory and they had exactly what I needed. In short, most of the convenience of an official Apple Store without having to travel to ends of the earth to get to one.
This boutique is an Apple-certified location, selling genuine OEM accessories, high quality third party accessories, and Apple’s core products, including the iPad Pro. They accept ApplePay, have very friendly staff, and are not intrusive while you shop. That said, they are very helpful when you’re looking for something specific and when you might be buying something not designed for your product. I heard another customer buying a power adaptor and the staff at checkout asked a couple of questions just to make sure that the adaptor was the right one for the product the customer owned.
Excellent shop, I’ll be back again soon!

BloorWest Apple Specialist is handy if you live in High Park/Bloor West Village. They had the part I needed, though for more than I was hoping to pay after checking multiple other local retailers online. However, I was in a crunch and didn’t have a choice.
This would all be fine and I would have been happy to support a new business in my neighbourhood, but it was completely spoiled by the employee’s extremely condescending attitude. At first I thought I was just reading her wrong, but then got a second dose of attitude when I asked why they needed to record my phone number in order to give me a receipt.
I’ll stay away from now on and continue to support places like iRepair, even though they are out of my way.
