Very cute café on the roncesvales strip. The interior is very cute and cozy and appearance. Prices are very fair and they have a nice selection of treats to pair with the caffeine beverages. Only downfall is its cash only but that’s probably why the prices for everything is really good. Everyone who works here I view friendly and welcoming!

The place is a very simple coffee stop. It is known for their baked goods from the Google reviews. I ordered Americano and one baked cookie. I forget the name of the latter. It’s brown, chewy, and not too sweet to eat. You can smell strong flavor of dry longan while eating. Love it so much. The staff is friendly and will chat with you as you want from my observation. However, I think the price is not so cheap for a cup of coffee. Still, will go there for trying other baked goods.

Cherry Bomb is our weekend treat. My husband and I go there sometimes on the weekends for a yummy coffee. The staff is friendly, lattes are delicious and their baked goodies are yummers. Some of our faves are pecan scones, date squares, chocolate croissants and the cheddar jalapeño croissants. Everything is fresh and delicious.

I have been here a couple times now and have to admit I have had some of my best coffee here since moving to Toronto. So far I have resisted the temptation to try any of their muffins and baked goods but if appearances are anything to go buy I suspect that they would be just as good if not better than their coffee

I thought this place was ok. Not much interaction with the barista. I just gave him my order, he made it, collected my money, then went back to doing whatever he was doing before, behind the counter. Despite the larger front of the café, the inside was pretty much empty. Only a coupla long counters and some stools. No patrons, but then again, it was a gorgeous day out! Without any dairy, I found the Americano quite acidic. It had a bite to it! However, after adding my splash of cream/milk, it was much smoother.

The best thing Cherry Bomb serves is their muffins. The have a delicious crumble topping. The croissant are also tasty, not as buttery as the French do but decent enough. I love the coffee too. I like a bigger size for the price but it’s still worth it. I always find the staff to be friendly and the customers are also very laid back.

Love Cherry Bomb — this is the best coffee shop on Ronces, as far as I’m concerned. All of their pastries are made in-house(freshly baked croissants!!) and there Americano coffee is delicious. The only problem with Cherry Bomb is it’s cash only, so just keep that in mind.

This place is packed every single morning of the week with regulars stopping in for their morning coffee fix. They have limited seating including a bar along the front window and the side wall with stools, as well as four chairs outside. Their baked good are baked in house daily(the smell is amazing) and includes things likes scones, croissants, muffins, etc. The coffee is delicious too. In the area? Stop in, grab a coffee, maybe a treat, and if you’re in the mood, sit for a while and watch the people passing by or take it to go and pop into all the cute little shops along Roncesvalles.

+ — Blueberry scone was delicious — Staff extremely friendly and patient — The wife liked her latte +/- — Whew that hot ginger lemonade was tart, I couldn’t finish it. I think they need to pull back a bit - — Always packed, expect to wait in line

Not much of a coffee person… Had a soy latte once, iced latte, and another time lemon ginger tea(which was just lemon in hot water and cut up ginger– bleh) … Lining up here can be a bit chaotic … I’m sure I picked up someone else’s coffee at one time … All I heard was latte an I was in a hurry … It ended up being soy latte… Hope the other person wasn’t lactose intolerant. Sorry! Latte was like any other latte(sorry — note again Im not much of a coffee person) still had a bit of the bitter taste to it. So why all the stars? Those crazy amazing croissants! Esp the almond. …great… now everyone is going to want it. Hope they don’t up the price even more. But amazing. Simply amazing. I’ve biked across the whole city just to have one. —– edit, I’d trek out here every day but my handsome ex hangs out here, unfortunately he is the one who introduced me to this place. Yes, I know Cherry bomb cannot do anything about that… unless they deliver the croissants ;) or gimme their recipe ;) ok ok fine… I’ll even bare the risk of bumping into him just to have their croissants.

Simply the best coffee — brewed and espresso — in Toronto. Very little seating, lineups on the weekend, great treats, good service. Cash only.

Cherry Bomb has a menu full of good coffee, a rockin’ soundtrack, and lots of fresh-baked goods on hand. Apparently they’ve started roasting their own beans too. However, they only have 7 seats, half an outlet(half used by a spot heater), and no Wi-Fi. Interestingly, they chose to keep the door open today, though it’s not a warm day. There’s a steady stream of customers, which is a good sign to me, and some conversational background noise. All of this culminates in an A-OK place to grab something and go, but not to sit and work. Conveniently right beside a TTC stop. Also, cash only.

Lattes are good but not good enough to have to deal with the snotty employees. You know those early 2000s movies where there was a cliché obnoxious coffee shop barista who acted like ordering coffee from them was pulling them away from their far more important work? Well if you want to experience that first hand head over to cherry bomb

I met a friend at this happenin’ spot on Roncesvalles. It was my first visit. The«Flying Pigeon» bicycle hanging on the wall that greets customers is a nice touch. They’ve been built since 1950! I was quite disappointed to find that they don’t have«to stay» cups(except for demitasse cups for espresso). There are two reasons I wasn’t happy — firstly, imagine all the unnecessary garbage produced! I’ve reviewed over 40 coffee shops( ), and I believe this is the first occurrence of this. Secondly, coffee doesn’t taste as good in a cardboard cup! A shop that ignores this is not making their coffee a priority, in my opinion.(I know of one shop that WILLNOT serve certain drinks in cardboard.) Apparently, Cherry Bomb roasts their own beans as Spitfire Coffee Roasters and they’ve got great equipment. So, with freshly roasted beans, quality hardware and experienced baristas, the drinks should be good, but mine was below standard. The combination of slight over-roasting and cardboard taste results in this 3-star review. My friend enjoyed her decaf latte, and was pleased with the quality of latte art. Like Lahore Tikka House with their all-disposable plates and cutlery, CB’s lack of reusable drinkware will keep me away.

I am lucky to have Cherry Bomb as my neghbourhood coffee shop. The coffee is top notch and compared to other shops, fairly priced. I love the recent partnership with Duke’s Cycle and the various bikes on display month to month. The service is very good, not too pretentious like some coffee shops full of wannabe artists and musicians too good to serve a cup of joe but too poor not to. The only nag I have is the pastries are far behind the counter and I constantly have to ask what’s available, though it’s usually the same everyday. It would be helpful to have them somewhere more accessible, or at least a chalkboard with items listed. I would recommend the scones, the scones are very very good.

I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical at first. I’m a tried-and-true kind of girl, and straying away from coffee shops I know and adore to experiment with new cafes that may very well be serving up battery acid mixed with milk isn’t my style. But Cherry Bomb isn’t a typical café. It’s like the hybrid of your mother’s kitchen combined with an amazing bakery AND a great coffee shop, PLUS the friendliest group of people around. There’s a lingering scent of sweet pastries and coffee in the air, delightfully paired with a clean, welcoming interior. I stopped in for a coffee the other day and was very satisfied with my cappuccino. Of particular note is the fact that they offer several sizes of espresso-based beverages(S, M, L) — even if it’s not the traditional 6 oz, sometimes I just want to have the option of ordering a giant cup of cappuccino(is that so wrong?)! The plain croissants here are wonderful; really crispy and flaky on the outside and soft and light on the inside. I’ve also tried the cheese croissant which I personally found a bit too cheese-heavy, so I recommended trying the plain first unless you’re a real cheese lover. Yes, it’s a bit strange that all the baked goods are hoarded away behind the counter, but don’t be shy to ask! Looking forward to returning to try more of the baked goods, particularly the scones. You’ve won me over, Cherry Bomb.

Delicious decaf latte. But the croissants!!! Oh my God, the croissants… Claflouti pales in comparison. The almond croissant nearly knocked me off my feet. I’m already trying to plan when I can go back for another. Cash only. Choosing a pastry is indeed a bit tricky, as others have mentioned, as they are all spread out far behind the cash. But the cashier was happy to tell me what my options were. I have a feeling she gets tired of explaining them all all the time though. A sign or chalkboard would help! Not a big space, but it’s all open with lots of room to move around. Some seating around the periphery. …and the almond croissants!!!

On my way to the bank, I stopped in to try their coffee. Now, I‘ve read all the reviews about which coffee I should have tried. Perhaps that would bump it up to a three. This place has some stiff competition from a few faves on my list Manic Coffee, Balzacs and Capital Espresso. I found the regular on tap coffee I had to be nothing special. Though much better than at a breakfast bacon and eggs special that comes with coffee that‘s for sure. It‘s possible that it was an off batch judging from the number of positive reviews but it will take me some time to try this place again. I give it points for the giant cherry as their signage!
