If you’re ever in the Toronto area and would love a club to CANCEL your BOTTLESERVICE booth, then cube is the place for you. You’d think being a group who has spent well over $ 10,000 there in the past year they would treat us with a little bit more respect but I guess that’s just not how they operate. Clearly ran by a bunch of incompetent morons. Stay home folks, less disappointment that way.

Horrible experience. We were 6 people — mix of girls and guys — on a Thursday night. We each paid $ 15 cover only to realize the place was empty. Other than the staff, there were 4 other people there and our waitress kept complaining that she wouldn’t make enough in tips because there was no one there and that they were talking about closing early. 30 minutes in(12 am at this point)) they turned the music off and the lights on and that was the end of our night. Spoke to the manager but he could not care less about our experience.

Worst place I have ever been to in my life. Not only were they rude and disrespectful, they gave me a problem because I was American. I was so angry I just decided to leave and not waste my money. Wish I didn’t waste 2 and a half hours waiting on line.

I would give 0 stars if it was an option. I arrived at the club at 10:30 with about 20 girls. The bouncers were so persistent on not letting people in that they denied entry to 20 year olds with 5+ pieces of ID. Half of the girls that paid for bottles with my group were not allowed in for no particularly reason. I myself being 21 was told to go in. The bouncer permitted me to exit to talk to the head of security who was even worse. He was on a huge power trip and decided that he was God and could tell everyone whatever he wanted and that we should retake our government ID’s so that the picture better suited his preference. He then would not permit me to re enter the club and would not even look at me ID. I asked to speak to the manager he told me he would be with me in a second and then literally ran away. I have never been to a more unprofessional place in my entire life. If you can avoid this club I highly advise you do.

Don’t go to this club. They only play Drake, the bouncers are mean and inconsiderate. You can’t smoke on the PATIO so what is the point of the patio??? It is not«Toronto’s best rooftop party.» This is false advertising. I can name 5 better clubs off the top of my head such as Fstop, Toronto’s finest club. Go there. I think the bouncers should be fired and then this club would go up by 2 stars but it is a serious night ruiner. Also if you are not in the age range of 15 – 20 don’t go. Waste of time.

The atmosphere of this place deserves 3 stars because it’s a great looking venue inside and the Friday night DJ was pretty fun, alas I dropped off a star due to the rudeness of the door staff. I appreciate you are doing your job not letting people skip out on payment, but I believe it doesn’t have to be done in such a grouchy fashion. Be warned people, the line is busy even if you’re on guest list… Even though there is no one inside. Oh. And to all remarks about the Cougars — I’m pretty sure that’s a skewed reality because most people didn’t look over 22. Which I suppose makes anyone over 29 seem like a cougar at this joint.

Lots of thieves here. It was extremely packed for a Friday night, people lost their wallets. I lost my jacket there. We had a booth, bottle service and all. Can’t believe someone would steal a jacket at a club. good bye my canada goose. The club did have good music but it was awfully packed with rude bouncers. Please beware and keep all of your belongings safe.

Had a bad experience with this club on a Friday night. Waited 45 minutes to get in the club because the bouncers were too busy trying to hustle $ 20 for line bypass. So annoying. When me and my friends got in, we immediately went to the bar to grab some drinks and guess what? Took the six of us 15 minutes to flag down the sole bartender at the bar. What’s up with that? Cube was basically just a waiting game that night for me and my friends.

A large group of us celebrated several birthdays at Cube last night. We arrived super early(10:30 pm) because apparently the lines get pretty long later on during the night. Cover is $ 15 if you’re on guest list and $ 20 if you’re not. The party didn’t get started until midnight. While we were waiting for more people to arrive we sat down in one of the booths since no one was there yet. The staff kicked us out although no one was even in the club yet… Music was more techno at the beginning but as the crowd grew the music transitioned to more mainstream stuff. Somehow during this transition the music just stopped playing and the DJ’s were having some technical difficulties. The dance floor is quite small but we were able to enjoy ourselves. I didn’t drink at Cube but the drinks are quite expensive. Mixed drinks were $ 8.50! I rarely go clubbing nowadays but I was still able to enjoy myself.

Me and a few buds decided to get bottles here not knowing how it would be. Great choice, bottles were priced fairly and the crowd was awesome. Smaller bar but overall great time.

20 cover. Lots of booth space nice rooftop when it’s open. DJ on Saturday played a good mix. Place gets packed after midnight. The floor is loaded with gum. Which sucks. But the music and crowd are good. One of the less pretentious clubs in the city.

Went here on a Friday night. The location is very convenient, right on Queen Street. It was not hard to find the place. It was girls free before 11 on guestlist, however we got there later so we had to pay $ 15 cover. Regular cover is 20 $. The bouncers were very nice. The venue is definitely nicer than the club in that area. There were not pipes sticking out from the ceiling which is rare haha The DJ played really good music, it was easy to dance to. Drinks are pricey. I think it was $ 8 for a mixed drink, $ 7.50 for a corona. What I love the most about this place is the huge patio. It’s got a really nice view of downtown Toronto and they have music and a bar on it. However, it would have been nicer is they had a DJ on the patio. The service was fast and bartenders were very nice. Majority of the crowd was white in their 20−30s Overall, I really liked this place. Definitely the better and more upscale club out of all the ones in that area.

came here in may 2014 for the first time and I am impressed. The cover is a bit hefty so make sure you are in the guestlist! $ 20/person is mad. We got 2 shots of tequila and it cost us $ 19 for both! Yeah and they also didnt want to make me a long island iced tea so I was stuck with vodka 7 or vodka cranberry. Other than the overpriced drinks and cover, I would go back for sure. Music is also great.

Nice venue. Came here for my birthday awhile ago… They had top 40’s playing. But horrible service. The girls who are in charge of bottle service have an unwarranted atrocious attitude. One of them pushed me from behind causing me to trip when I was in my booth to grab cups. The bar tenders ran out of lime for tequila shots. They also ran out of napkins, which was a problem since it was overcrowded and people were spilling their drinks on everyone. Spent a pretty penny for Magnum bottles which included gratuities which our server did not deserve. Never coming back here again.

The venue was pretty impressive. Very large main area downstairs and patio upstairs. The DJ played a pretty good mix of music. This place loses points on crowd and staff. The crowd kind of sucked and the staff wasn’t particularly friendly(bouncer made my friend pay cover to get BACK into the club after we’d already sat down with bottles).

The complimentary guacamole and hummus placed on the edge of the bar had congealed into a gelatinous goop of brown-green. Still, the suit-wearing troglodite felt the need to dip his filthy fingers into the bowl soaking a stale piece of pita bread as the vomit brigade all pleasantly ignored each other while asynchronously gyrating to the oom-pah music in the background. The cougars scratch at each other as they preen for prime prowling position. Running a club is all about making it look busy so that you can fleece unsuspecting mopes into paying a cover charge for the privilege to get in. They seem to do this well. Why are you wasting your time even considering this?

Came across this place by accident with my friend. Yes there is a $ 20 cover charge on Friday nights and yes the drinks are not cheap, but the music is good(a mix of top 40 and and house) and the décor is very clean. The bar staff and bouncers are great and the music is not so loud that you cannot hear yourself speak and the washrooms were very clean as well. The crowd was a mix of cougars and younger asian girls(can’t understand the haters that post here?) Great club! I will definitely go back ;o)

So… I’m too old(mature?) to enjoy clubbing anymore. I mean, there’s a time and place for it, but I’m finding that the occasion pops up less. Well, I got an invite to their anniversary event was promised free entry and free food and drinks. Alright, I guess that’s as good as reason as any. We arrive at opening on the weekend night and there’s a monstrous line already — but we were let in about 5 minutes. Alright, the place is pretty sleek like any other douchey club. All the female bartenders have huge fake boobs and work really slow. The place is packed — too packed to move around and far too packed to dance anywhere — which would be a even bigger problem if they played music that wasn’t absolute shit — it was blend of some house shit and Top 40. There was what appeared to be a dancefloor, but they put a mini-stage there and they had a contortionist ‘performing’(or whatever the fuck the term would be to say ‘she did bendy stuff’). So, people just stood around slack-jawed and watched the contortionist… contort… while over-scented people holding drinks tried to squeeze past you because the club is so packed. I wasn’t enjoying this at all — but fuck it, my lady friend and I were loading up on free drinks and food and bullshitting. I’ll fight my rising urge to punch someone in the face until all the drinks were gone. As for the cougar comments in the other reviews… let me tell you a story: when I was in Costa Rica, my business associate took me down to a notorious ‘working girl’ bar in downtown San Jose — basically a place for tourists and rich locals to find a prostitute(legal in CR). Neither of us were interested in ‘pay to play’ but he had to show me the scene. So we just drank, watched the girls ply their trade and made proposition bets. So, we decided to bet on which one of us could sit alone at the bar the longest before being solicited by a working girl — loser buys all the drinks. Now, this is a bar where it’s 10 girls for every guy, we got cat-called and whistled at when we walked in and my business associate got groped when he went to the washroom. We were raw meat here. I ended up winning the bet, but even with my meanest scowl and most defensive body language, a lady introduced herself to me within a minute — my associate lasted about 40 seconds. At Cube, I was cougar attacked within 15 seconds. 15SECONDS! These ladies be thirsty. I didn’t even notice older people in the club. So I figured, ‘Wow, did they mean 30+ = cougar?’ Well, my gal pal went to the ladies room and this middle-aged lady that looked like my high school Geography teacher spontaneously materialized. She was like a ninja — she literally blindsided me. I know I’m a hot piece of man — but geez. So — your typical douchey club with no place to dance. Tries to be upscale but I’ve been to raves with more walking room. When we left, I wish I had a grenade to lob into the crowd amassed outside the velvet rope. And of course, the highlight: cougars so thirsty that they are even more aggressive than 3rd world prostitutes.

BOTTOMLINE: You’re never safe from the cougars — not even on the patio. That’s right, I’m *that* guy who’s a friend of a friend of the DJ, which means I get to avoid the lineup, avoid the dress-code and avoid the $ 40 cover. What I can’t avoid, however, are the cougars eyeing me and asking themselves«who’s that sexy and oh-so-mysterious man who got in with only wearing a plain white tee… I bet you he’s loaded… I should go ask him to buy me a drink!» But that’s okay because I’ll take whatever I can get and it’s not like my twonies are gonna spend themselves. The men here are sub-average, which really allows me to shine. Fashion sense straddles the(collared) shirt that’s too tight and underbuttoned or way too loose and also underbottoned. I also predict that rolling up your cuffs one fold — aka the floppy cuff — is about to hit the streets of Milan like nobody’s business. Enough about the men though, let’s keep our eyes on the prize: the ladies. I like ‘em mature and it’s way above average here. They be shimmying in their sequin dress shaking their double D augmos and giving me their damnedest pouty mouths look(or is that just a bit too much collagen?). I appreciate the effort; in fact, I can’t look away. When I’m tired of dancing and really wanna show off my vast knowledge of astronomy, I take my cougar-friend upstairs to the patio to sip on cristal and show them the big dipper(hint: it’s not in the sky). By this point, you better believe that the deal is sealed. Ladies, you should know, this is how I roll and this is why Cube is my favourite venue. The beats are hot, the space is dope, and it only gets better when I’m throwing it down with my bottle of Belvedere.

Went by Cube in early March 2012 right after it opened for a special launch party run by a national website’s local branch. Because of the weather/time of year the upstairs patio area wasn’t opened yet but I did get a good luck at the entire main floor. When you walk in the main doors you still feel as if you are walking into Ultra — which is what the venue used to be — but that is where the similarities end. You walk in through the doors to the main area and to your immediate left is the coat check. The whole inside of the main floor has been completely redone to change the feel of the venue. The bar has been moved from the southern wall on the west side to the eastern wall on the south side and there is another two bars as you go further into the club. The booths are all this yellow vinyl? that looks right at home in the 1970s and the whole club feels like they are bringing back the look and style of the 1970s and 1980s and they did a great job with it. The new layout is way more open than it used to be when it was Ultra and I can see this being way more of a nightclub than Ultra was. It seems that they have spared very little expense on the redesign and relaunch of this venue — they are very specifically differentiating it from its past as Ultra — and only time will tell what kind of crowd ends up populating it on a regular basis. Right now they are shooting for a 25+ crowd although their event posters say 23+ and one of them I saw even said«gentlemen 23+» so I guess ladies younger than 23+ were allowed to come in that evening. The club will be playing house I believe, DJ duo Manzone & Strong are resident DJs on Friday nights, and again in the no expense spared department they redid the DJ booth with input from Manzone & Strong. They’ve also moved the DJ booth from the northwestern corner of the club to the middle of the west wall putting a giant LCD screen on top of it too(see pics). I didn’t try any of their tapas menu but my friends ordered a couple of their sliders and thought they were absolutely delicious. But, make no mistake, this place is very much NOT a «Supper Club» anymore. It is a club that happens to have some appetizers on hand in case you get hungry.
