WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
Got a haircut with Kelly ad I loved it so decided to go back for color. I showered her pictures of what I wanted. At first, she refused and said that my hair would not go that lighter. I then suggested another photo. After an entire session, I realized how brassy my hair looked so I took her by the window and showed her. She agreed because it was orange, not caramel. She toned my hair again but the color was still brassy, just darker orange. She told me to go home and look at my color in natural light so I did. I took photos for her and went after a couple of days to show my color. At this point, she blatantly blamed texture of my hair and since i have got color in past, I should have known better. HELLO! Who is the hair stylist here? Told me that I should have paid $ 640 plus tax for my hair if I wanted to go lighter since it would take two sittings. I have naturally black hair and I have got ombré in past from Medulla and co and only paid 195 to go blonde ombré.
In the end, she did not offer to fix it but said that either she would tone it dark brown or I can pay another half of one sitting but with no guarantee!
Never going back and please go to a salon where they ensure results!

Definity is a great salon in a convenient location.
The atmosphere is inviting and brightly lit, thanks to the giant windows facing Bloor St. with a view of the ROM Crystal across the street. Renovations in 2015 improved the inside layout.
The staff are friendly, courteous, and effective.
The online booking system works well. I find it convenient.

Walked in at 4pm without an appointment and they instantly got to work. I had a hair wash, a beard trim, and a haircut. The stylist was friendly but concentrated more on doing a great job than chatting. The result was one of my favourite hair cuts ever, incorporating a nice transition from my head to my beard. The stylist applied oil to my beard and some kind of product to my hair and blow dried everything. I was extremely satisfied and tipped very well. The teamwork was excellent, as one person washed my hair as the stylist finished up with another client. I will definitely be returning.

This used to be the old Toni & Guy on Bloor.
Had an appointment with Kelly for a balayage and my hair turned out great. It wasn’t exactly what I envisioned, but I had lots of compliments the next day so that’s a good sign for me.
Pros: clean salon, did not try to push product on you, student discount, online booking, and my stylist Kelly
Cons: appt went late, I found the hair washing sink uncomfortable
Overall, I would come back again! :)
