I’ve been out of the club scene for quite a while(not sure if I was ever really in it, TBH), and found myself saying ‘I’m too old for this’ more than once during my visit at EFS for a work after-party. The bouncers were very pleasant with us and we were escorted to our booth by a very fancy hostess with a clipboard — very VIP. Like a lot of other people mention, there are a lot of suits & bandage dresses, so if that’s your scene, you’ll have a great time. The DJ was mixing hip-hop, top 40, and EDM(more hip-hop than anything) and the spectacle they make of bottle service was pretty entertaining. Yes, it was a little crowded, but when you’re bumping into such beautiful people, who cares?

Went there on Saturday night. The line up was already long at 10:30pm even though inside wasn’t that packed. It gets really packed around 12 to the point where you can’t even dance anymore. Music was really bad too. It got better around 12ish but still meh. Not impressed. And not to mention the clientèle. It was filled with sweaty old guys looking for drunken early 20s. It was Bartenders that saved my night. They made perfect drinks without making me standing at the bar for too long. I was dragged there by my friends but seriously don’t understand the all the hype of this place. Won’t go back.

I went to EFS last Friday for the first time and we were on guestlist which meant free admission before 11 pm otherwise it would have been $ 15 or $ 20. We checked our coats($ 3 for each coat). The club is quite nice but really small and it’s more like a lounge with a small dance floor. It’s true that some of the staff acted with some pretentiousness. Crowd: The crowd for a Friday was mixed and the average age for that particular night was probably 25 years old and I’m pretty sure Friday is 21+. Decent ratio of males to females. Drinks: We ordered MGD beer for most of the night which was $ 8 which is only slightly higher than most clubs since it’s priced as an imported beer. Music: The music from what I remember was Top 40, House and Hip Hop. The DJ was pretty good and he had the crowd moving on and off the dance floor. Overall, it had a good vibe, it’s a decent place to party although it’s quite small. Some of the other comments made by other Unilocalers are true that drinks are slightly priced higher but keep in mind it’s King St West and some of the staff are not too friendly but at the same time when I go out, I don’t go out for the staff but it can make a difference in your party experience.

The majority of the reviews on this place are accurate. Its overrpiced and stuffy. The atmosphere is nice if they didnt over crowd. If you are a attractive male who looks like he has money they you will get alot of attention by the bottle service borderline«escort» like server girls… who will basically ignore you if you are female. Honestly. dont bother. there are far better places to go with friendly staff and not as stuffy!

While the club is nice the staff are not too friendly here. Came on a Friday night right before 11.

EFS needs to get their shit together. While in town a friend bought a table at this venue to show myself and some other friends a good time in Toronto. He bought a table and multiple bottles — everything was set to be a fun night. Apparently if you have pink hair and wear HBA you’re a leper, but if you wear a graphic t-shirt, and a denim shirt with a bro hair cut and faux glasses… you’re good to go. I was forced to wear a blazer to enter the club due to my ‘gang attire’(as said by door people) followed by security all night. A group of people not close to us were smoking weed on the patio, and security closed in on me and badgered me asking what I was smoking which was clearly a cigarette. I happily directed them to the group who blatantly had a pipe out only to get a scruff from the security guard. Basically if you’re not douche and conform to the norm of bros. and like girls WAY past their prime stuffing themselves in BCBG bondage dresses or glitter pants… you will not be welcomed. But dont worry EFS… I was interviewed by a local magazine about my experience in Toronto and made sure to let them know about your club and how your staff treat people at tables. Smell ya later basics.

We went here while we were in Toronto for my bachelorette party. We had a fun time, but there was a cover charge– don’t have alot of those in Houston. Especially for a group of 6 pretty girls. Drinks were over priced and the clientele thought they were alot prettier than they really were. The club is also kind of small.

With a night of going to mediocre places around Toronto then stumbling upon EFS last — it delivered. Chill atmosphere, good music & staff. Drink prices of what they were, was expected from a place like this.

Unfortunately, this is not the patio season, so I was only able to experience the lounge inside. I went to EFS for a private event. The place is a bit dark and the music not to loud to disturb conversation. The layout is not optimal for a private event: while there is plenty of space in the center of the room, everyone was close to the bar area. out of the three bars available, only one was open. I ordered a gin-tonic and it was more on the tonic side. The experience was ok, I want to give EFS a second chance after they re-open the patio(everyone I know has been bragging about it).

I don’t know why the ratings are low. The place has a good crowd and decent music. It’s busy but not always packed. Obviously drinks are standards, and I had a good time.

We went on a Wednesday night. It’s a very nice bar /club /lounge. The layout is great. Bathrooms are clean and well maintained. The bar staff are all nice. In fact, all of the employees we talked with were very nice. I would only give it a 3 star because as a 4 star it says«I’m a fan» but I am not a fan… It has a much younger crowd than I am comfortable with and the music tends to support that younger demographic. I would recommend this place to people in their early 20’s. I don’t think I will be back.

Not enough bartenders to handle their Saturday night crowd and their drinks tasted like Evian. Skip.

Don’t be fooled by first looks. Here’s what you need to know: They charge you $ 20 cover to even walk into this bar. Yes the atmosphere is nice, and reminiscent of Miami, but they pack people in like sardines and then you have to fight to order drinks at the bar. They have special filters on the bottles of alcohol, so that all your drinks are watered down even more than usual. And here’s the kicker — even if you have bottle service, you will end up stuck in line waiting to use one of FOUR unisex bathrooms. Don’t waste your time.

Gorgeous patio, smaller than I thought though. As soon as you walk in the place screams pretentious. Probably because the bartenders are snooty as hell, and there are cabanas on the perimeter, so if you’re left standing you feel like you’re on stage to everyone else. I will admit the server that came around when we finally got a seat was nice, and added tip ontop of the price already(which ended up being less than what I was going to tip her) BUT when I went to order drinks from the bar, during happy hour we ordered our drinks at 8:58pm, and the special ended at 9… the bartender proclaimed that because she made one of the drinks at 9pm she would have to charge full price… WHAT??? Also later in the night another bartender in particular looked me up and down when I ordered one of the more expensive drinks and proclaimed«you know it IS13 dollars, right?», uh… ya. thanks. Also they have stupid rules like closing a section of their already small bar(but not telling anyone, you get the message through other customers) Let me put it this way. If you like bloke &4th then this is the outdoor version. That can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on the person.

This is a really gorgeous patio in a great spot downtown. However, be aware that despite their promotional material that says the $ 4.50 drink special is from 5pm-10pm, it’s in fact only until 9pm.(I had actually called in advance and was also told over the phone that the special was until 10pm). We had to negotiate with our server and present the very coupon we had received at the door to order a round at 9:15. She had to negotiate with her manager. The manager presented it like they were doing us a favour. As well, we didn’t realize our stools would be removed and our table would be required for people who were getting bottle service. Had they warned us in advance at any time, we would have moved. However, we were rudely told«Move your purses! This table is for bottle service!» This is not a normal way to treat customers who have already spent a lot of money at your establishment. Two stars because the patio itself is really, really nice.
