Julie’s the best, she’s such a sweet lady and will do everything to make sure you’re happy. Also she’s super reasonable. I usually pay $ 9 for her to alter my pants and she does a great job. Just make sure you’re specific as to what you want from her and you won’t be disappointed.

Took a pair of jeans, winter hat, and a half a dozen dress shirts here. The lady was super friendly. It cost me a bit over $ 30 for everything — not bad. The only thing I thought was a bit odd was that you have to pay up front. Most places you typically pay afterwards but no worries, everything came back great.
She even fixed loose stitching on my jeans which was the whole reason I was getting them dry cleaned in the first place because the store I bought them from wouldn’t work on «unclean» clothing. Overall friendly and good service, I’ll more than likely return here again.

You’d think there’s not much difference between dry cleaners but I keep coming back to this place years after I moved away from the neighbourhood!
It’s mostly because (a) it’s cheap!, and (b) Julie is so darn nice. She cut me discounts when I was a broke law student, she gives me bags and umbrellas when it’s raining, offers to meet me at the subway station to save me a fare, asks how my family’s doing… I could go on and on! This place is a neighbourhood gem.

Prices are reasonable, service is genuine and friendly, and alterations have never taken that long!

I don’t dry clean much, but have no complaints with the few items that I had done… I love this place… I have not had one problem with any of my pants and skirts that I have had altered… they have even managed to fix the few do it yourself screw ups.

The quality of Ellis Cleaners hasn’t degraded but, after visiting some other dry cleaners, I’ve decided to downgrade them by one star. The speed and quality of the cleaning isn’t as good as it could be. In particular, I’m not always happy with the pressing at Ellis Cleaners.
Despite the downgrade, it’s still a decent place. The proximity to my house and the super friendly proprietor will keep me coming back.

How much love do I have for the woman that runs this place? My dry cleaning is done in a jiffy, my pants and skirts are hemmed at a very low cost (between $ 6 and $ 12, depending on the item), and I am always greeted with loving smiles and kind words in gentle and nurturing tones. Mama?
