I used to come here because it was the cheapest and closest laundromat to me. Current price is $ 2/wash and 25¢ for 4 minutes of dyer time. However, now I’m willing to walk a bit farther and pay a bit more for better machines. My clothes began to smell weird, and at least half of the machines have«Out of Order» signs on them. The last time I was there, only one dryer was still working. It’s a bare-bones operation but will do if you’re in a pinch(and have all your quarters handy).

Don’t come here if you’re looking for bells & whistles like laundry detergent, change machines, chocolate bars or music playing overhead. None of that at P. Cheung Coin Laundry. But really, who needs a machine when you can get change from a sweet, old Asian man with quarters in his pocket! He doesn’t say much, but his half-smile always makes my day. I also come here for the following reasons: 1: it’s the cheapest place i’ve been to($ 1.25 to wash/.25 cents for 7 minutes to dry). 2: it’s clean(very clean) and quiet and machines are never broken. 3: it’s right beside Zoinks books and the Bloor-Gladstone Library AND right across the street from Cournese Bakery. Nothing beats waiting for the laundry than with a book and Portuguese egg tart!
