I am not sure anyone will take my review seriously, but here it is. After being with Wind for several years I needed a service with better coverage. Picked up a brochure from Fido, made notes to ask all the right questions. Brochure promised inclusion of VM etc. Confirmed everything over and over again. Bottom line I was lied to. Apparently the brochure was out dated by a few months. The entire process of not only getting customer service to help with the phone and set up and fighting for what was promised, was a complete and total night mare. I spent hours on the phone. I am now locked in, with a phone I cannot return and reps who could care less. I actually felt physically ill from all of it. How the day started was dealing with bad attitude at the king Street store. I have been a Fido customer for one day. Yes only one day and this has been my experience. Do not do not do not go with these people, they are the worst… Update…Ok after many and I mean many calls I finally found someone at fido customer service who really listened and cared enough to keep me on line until my issues were resolved. She was fantastic and finally everything has been sorted out. I will say that not everything was exactly what I asked for but close enough. If you have the courage to work through the crap, this company can be fine… but be careful and ask specific questions and take notes. Keep in mind that this all started because I was lied to by one of their sales people.

i was in here yesterday attempting to do a simple account transaction and have the name changes on my account. the associate named Jerome was useless. He put me on the phone with customer care. if i wanted to call customer care and if they could have taken care of my request i would have done so instead of going into the store. he didnt ask for my id, the whole reason i needed to go in to change the name on my account. instead he put me on the phone so he could talk to his buddy while i waited over 20 mins for something i was informed he could have done in 2 minutes. i was running late so i left with nothing going through Pathetic. I will be filing a formal complaint about the store and Jerome. he is a waste on space in that store even on his min wage salary. i will never sign up for a second contract with fido. bell is a much better company. everyone i know on fido says they have always had a lot of issues.

Patiently waiting until my contract’s expiration date(Jan 6th — have it marked in my calendar). Getting way too little for the price that I am paying. Limited calling and only 500 mb of data for 90/month vs Wind’s unlimited everything for $ 30. Tried to call Fido to get a bit more data, but the lady told me that I am not allowed to modify my services due to the fact that I am on a 2 year contract or something of that nature. Been getting more and more emails with various promotional junk and other nonsense. Tired of it all. I’ve tested out the Wind mobility personal hotspot and have been getting consistently great reception throughout GTA(I travel a lot), even in places where Fido/Robbers fail(notably Woodbridge). Cannot wait to switch! Sooooo close. I can already feel it…

A five star review for Fido? wtf? The reason for me is simple. Service. When it was suggested by Fido tech support on the phone that I bring my non-working new Fido home phone into a Fido store, I didn’t know what to expect. When I described the situation to the guy at the store, his first reaction was to return the phone. Since it was shipped that meant to pack it up and head to the UPS store, and then have to go back to the UPS store and pick up a replacement. Seeing my disappointment with that idea, he offered me a new SIM card. After getting home, I sorted out the problem with Fido tech help on the phone with the new SIM card and magically, the phone started working! Yippie, a home phone for $ 10/month.
