Though Connie’s review seems a bit mean spirited, she is right on the money. This location is tiny and their selection is poor. It’s mostly T shirts, Sweat shirts and sweat pants. If you’re an American looking to see what’s so great about this brand, I highly recommend the Roots store up on Bloor Street. Their selection is way better than this as well as the Eaton Centre location.

In1989, everyone in my class had that Roots-brand collegiate-looking shirt with the beaver sprawled on front. Everyone, that is, except me. Whatever. Why would I wear someone’s logo on my chest AND pay for it? Now, having said that, I have since owned some Roots items, and they’ve been comfortable. Their socks, especially, are very satisfactory, and their foray into shoes and new fashion designs are commendable. However, this particular location is small and gives me those middle-school jitters. I blame the sweat pants and sweatshirts that seem to descend on me right when I walk through the door. It totally reeks of 1989. I’d like to leave that year behind, thank you very much. Goodbye.
