If you haven’t checked out this place yet, you need to just for experience of seeing what the big bang theory would ACTUALLY be like if it was in real life.
Games Workshop sells model like figurines in which you build, paint, and play a turned based role playing game with. Almost like Risk/​Stratego — but on crack.
My brother used to play with these sets when we were kids and I played the other army in the «starter kit» that he didn’t want. The Orcs.

Since then I’ve always kept tabs to see how the company has kept up as I thought this fad would be LONG gone… But It’s still around !
Part of it is that the employees own and play the game themselves — so they’re experts in the field and are real great about sharing their passion. They also run many workshops and game days where you can come in and paint your figures or just show up and play some games, learn more about the different types of armies/​gametypes, and just have some fun… when the chess club lets out THIS IS THE AFTER PARTY !
Downside is that it’s expensive — if you get into it you need to have deep pockets! Also, the nerds there can be very vicious and pompous when you steal time away from the employee they’re trying impress to ask a very simple questions. If you get passed the arrogance and their hygiene you just might fit in somewhere between the fat kid in the family guy t shirt and the orange haired freak with the overbite.
