I didnt have a very good experience here. I went in for a brazilian, and although the esthetician was nice, the place was just not clean enough. The pillow on the waxing table had hair(not mine) and stains on it. and they dont use disposable spatulas. I won’t come back here again. If you don’t mind walking up to Bloor and Palmerston, Julia’s Esthetics is much better.

I’m not entirely sure why, but hair salons have always made me feel a bit antsy. When I’m in one I feel like a bull in a china shop. Maybe it’s the all the hairspray that gets me feeling queasy, but I’m the type who just wants to get in and out as quickly as possible. I’m not fussy about the hair; just cut it and make it look good. But, strangely enough, when I visited Jasper Studio for the first time, my usual uneasiness wasn’t present. I was welcomed by a very adorable little pooch names Jasper(the muse) and I had an awesome, funky stylist named Nellie(a personal recommendation who was great!). $ 35 later, my hair had been shampooed, conditioned, cut and styled and I was pleased and most importantly, feeling at ease. Since then, Jasper has become my hair salon of choice and I’m happy to recommend it to anyone! They also have an awesome website where you can make online appointments from anything to haircuts, facials, massages and make-up applications-very interactive!
