I don’t usually write bad reviews because I’d rather not waste the keystrokes, but this store is the pits, as far as retailing liquor and beer. I’m still new to the concept of buying alcohol and beer at government-owned properties(monopoly anyone?) but this place actually let me down. As with most places staffed by city or state employees, the service was brutal. Nobody working there seemed to care about whether we had a good experience or not. maybe they were already happy with the fact that as government employees they were being paid far above their pay-grade. We asked a lady stocking shelves if they housed 2 different types of wines, and she proceeded to tell us about how there was a Wine Rack a quick 20 minute walk away where an employee there would be able to tell us more about the products we asked for. When we got to the cash there was no «hello» just a «air miles? cash credit or debit?» and the cashier began packing the bags. When we mentioned we had our own bags the lady at the cash unpacked the 2 bottles she had packed BEFOREWAITINGFOROURANSWER and didn’t say another word to us even after we’d paid. I understand it is probably annoying to sell booze all day, but come on! We’ll obviously be back because in Ontario theres no other place to buy booze other than where the regulators tell you, but they still get one star

Terrible customer service. Rude. Almost contemptuous. Won’t revisit this location again.

Huge store with great selection, truly appalling, arrogant customer service. Asking for help is like bothering the staff, an the cashiers are wretched. If you can find what you need at another location I highly recommend it.

This LCBO is fairly large and has reasonably good service. You will encounter… 1. above average selection for LCBO. 2. Free samples of a wine or beer on occasion. 3. Someone begging for money outside. 4. The customary high prices!

Well, as a baseline, I’m new to Toronto(and Ontario) so I have to say I find the whole wine/liquor situation here to be pretty shocking. However, within even that sad context, I find this LCBO to be disappointing. I know I probably can’t blame the store itself for lousy selection and truly offensive pricing-I guess that’s the provincial bureaucracy-but I can blame then for terrible service and open hostility from the staff. Take a recent experience: Me: «Excuse me, I’d like to buy a few bottles of this wine. It seems that there’s none left on the shelf, but the LCBO app tells me you have a few left in stock. Would you mind grabbing me a few in the back for me?» LCBO Employee: «No.» Me: «I’m sorry, was that ‘no, you don’t mind’ or ‘no, I won’t get you those bottles of wine?’» LCBO Employee: «It’s no, I won’t get you those bottles of wine.» Me: «Really?» LCBO Employee: «Really.» Me: «Why?!?» LCBO Employee: «Because it’s not what I’m doing right now.» Beyond other experiences like this, the lines are always long to pay, the staff moves slowly, and the overall experience is just frustrating. Why we put up with this monopoly is endlessly amazing to me. You’d think that in a democracy we would have done away with this by now.

I have to say this is a handy location of the LCBO for me. Right on the way home. Pretty good location — decent size Vintages section too. However, not to thrilled about the packing. The fellow who cashed me out packed the bottles in tight — and some upside down(I get that the bottles were a bit awkward shape). but when I got home, he had jammed one in with such force, it had leaked right through the still intact foil cover into the bottom of the box. Being that a lot of companies are now using those synthetic corks, I guess it must not be as tight as a traditional cork. I will be opening that bottle tonight, and if it is not good, I will be taking it back… but cautionary tale — watch out for this. .and folks at the LCBO — think carefully before you jam those wine bottiles in upside down!

This is a pretty large LCBO so the selection is solid(in terms of what we can get in Ontario). The store is well maintained and there are a ton of staff. The few times I’ve been here on a Friday or Saturday night there has been no less than 3 – 4 tills open and therefore the lineups are kept short(2 – 3 people deep at most). Nov. 30-day challenge 42⁄30

You were there when I needed you LCBO. and for that I will never forget you. I just wish you didn’t close so bloody early.what.people in Ontario don’t need alcohol past 9pm? Seriously? What up with that? I mean. I am greatfull you were there for me and all but I have to say I am a bit hurt to think you won’t be there fr me past 9pm… and for that I can’t give you 5 stars. but you should know that it hurts me to deny you that honor…
