If its a Friday night, Saturday(anytime), or a holiday, be prepared to wait in a line that circles down every aisle, sometimes right to the front door. This LCBO is small but has a decent vintage section and some nice craft beers. Its also next to the subway and to Loblaws. The problem that I have with it is that its just too packed at certain peak hours which makes me think that if the government didn’t control our liquor consumption, we wouldn’t have to wait 3 hours to buy a bottle of wine on a Friday night! But that’s a whole different story.

This is my go-to LCBO, mostly because I live a short walk from here. It’s more of a mini LCBO: it has a somewhat limited variety of products and it’s pretty small. It still stocks all the most popular brands of wine, beer and spirits, and a decent Vintages section, if you’re into that sort of thing. Possibly the best thing about this place is that it’s open until 10pm every night except Sunday, for those days when you run out of wine at a dinner party. Or you get home from a particularly gruelling day of work super late. Or, you know, Wednesday. The staff here is very helpful and very friendly. Often, they banter back and forth with one another, which is a nice change from many LCBO workers in the city who look like they have lost the ability to smile and the will to live. The fact that it’s just downstairs from a big Loblaws(and down the hall from a chocolatier, flower shop and cigar shop) makes it a great stop on the way to a party/girlfriend who’s forgiveness you are begging for.
