This place is currently occupying a space that has seen about 3 failed startups within the last couple of years and fills a somewhat unusual niche within the area that directly takes aim at Popeyes. Firstly, you notice the tables and chairs from the previous ventures, some of which is quite worn at this point being handed down between multiple owners. Overall there is lots of seating, it’s relatively clean and there’s a tv playing news for the most part. As far as food and service go, this is were it loses stars. The fries are spicy cavendish widely available at asian supermarkets close by(so their markup on these is insane), the chicken is well cooked(but smaller than Popeyes) and sometimes there’s no coke in the fountain machine. Additionally the bread has clearly been frozen and has a crumbly stale texture to it. Service is really slow here, which was a serious issue at the previous two ventures as well, even for a single combo meal be prepared to wait more than 10 – 15 minutes. Pricing is alright, but paying full price is not worth it on most occasions, so take full advantage of the daily specials which makes things way cheaper than Popeys.

I went here last night around 10pm. The menu and décor is exactly like Popeye’s. I found the chicken burger to be delicious and the sauce they use to be more flavourful. The breading was light and crispy. I throughly enjoyed it. I’ll return to try other things on the menu. I would note that they need a good ventilation/fan system as there were fumes(colorless) from the kitchen. Otherwise prices were great.
