Amazing service. Ahhh hot stone foot massage is my favorite! I always go there with my coworker to relax. They are very clean and professional

My mother and I are regulars at Lotus and we always leave satisfied. Jenny is amazing at waxing and the pedicures are some of the best I’ve ever received. Not to mention the ladies who work there are always so fun to talk to. My only criticism is that they should have more polish colours to choose from.

Deceiving experience. Inexperienced nail customers beware
I barely ever get my nails done and wanted to try something new spontaneously
Asked for uv gel nails, discussed what I wanted and shape also. Later discover the women did acrylic on my nails from watching videos on both methods when I got home. The woman used a wet brush dipped in powder and laid that on my nails instead of a gel type product
Paid for uv gel ($ 35) when acrylic is $ 25
Did not get what I asked for and on top of that I was charged for something different.
This deception is unfortunate. Next time I’ll do research on types of nail service methods. Very disappointed in my experience …

The place was clean and pleasant and the ladies who did my nails mani and pedi did an excellent job for the price I paid. I would go back if I lived in the area.

Came for the first time on a Sunday for pretty much full body wax, which I specified over the phone two weeks prior. The woman who did my wax was the same one that spoke to me on the phone. She agreed to a certain price for all the services I asked for and then when I was there and she was waxing she said I didn’t ask for this and that and that each is extra.
As if that’s not enough she let the other girl who only knows nails help her wax. The girl didn’t even know to apply the wax in the same direction as hair growth. I told her I don’t want the other girl waxing if she hasn’t gone to school for it and they never listened. At this point I didn’t argue too much because I didn’t want them to mess me up more than they already had. I never let them get near me for Brazilian and arms which were still left to do because they were just raising the price and they’d left numerous hairs on my legs.
Please save yourself the disappointment and just go to Petals which is my regular place but was strapped for time and they’re a bit out of the way at Yonge and Bloor

Have been searching without success for a new nail salon since my regular place for 2+ years (Michelle Le) went downhill… like bloody cuticles downhill… (!)
My search went on for more than six months without any success at all.
I found a great place downtown (
), but I need somewhere close to my home/​office that’s more convenient. So I started popping into area salons. I tried:

And wasn’t satisfied at any of them. I want to feel comfortable and taken care of when I’m getting a mani or pedi — is that too much to ask? It’s supposed to be a SPA service!
Then I noticed a sign on my way home from work that I hadn’t seen before — Lotus Nails is tucked away at the side of a strip mall on Don Mills Road — if you don’t know where it is, you”re not likely to stumble upon it — I just happened to be taking a weird route home — YAY!
So I met Amy and Jenny — who are both fantastic! They opened about six months ago (Summer 2012) and seem to be in a great rhythm already.
Lotus is friendly, very clean and tastefully decorated, brilliantly cozy and comfortable.
I got UV gel nails (French) — they lasted for almost a MONTH looking great!!! I have never experienced such a long-​lasting manicure. JOY! Finally!
It was worth the wait to find this place.
There is lots of free parking on-​site, and it’s close to many major arteries I use all the time! I will be back!!!
Other notes: The business card I took to remind me to write this review says they also do waxing & facials, threading & tinting (besides all regular nail services).
