I came in here with a mind to be inspired by new teas. I came in this shop while no one else was there and I was virtually ignored and I just got the proverbial«Let me know if you need help». I tried to engage them but no bite. So the staff was not very helpful and the tea selection, while plentiful, I realize now are very weak as I have tried them. I got the Revivifier and Rooibos Orange Blossom. The sample smelled very good but the packaged teas seem to have lost some of that quality. I am saddened by this as I am absolutely in love with teas and the teas I purchased seemed like marketing tricks. I wanted to like this shop but the service and tea quality were quite poor that I would advise you to go elsewhere.

This is a fantastic independent tea shop that I would highly recommend. The owners are tea sommelier’s and have definitely passed the knowledge onto their staff. They have a great selection and everything is high quality; I’ve been to many indie tea shops and very few have this level of quality. You can get everything from your basic(or not so basic) English breakfast to some rare(and expensive) oolongs. There were fall featured blends while I was there, and they also have some very unique and uncommon blends on their shelves. The tea’s are mostly sold in 100g bags or tins, and prices range anywhere from $ 10 to $ 30, most were in the $ 14 – 16 range. David was working and he was very nice, knowledgeable, happy to make suggestions and a big help with my chronic indecision. I had to smell it all. I wanted to taste it all. I finally narrowed it down to four — midnight orange, roobis chai, monk’s blend, and quang zhor milk oolong. I’m loving all of them. I can’t wait to run out so I can return to try more.

GIVEMETHATTEA! I’m hooked. I was tricked into the David’s tea trend and grossed out by the artificial flavours… It was fate when a week later I stumbled on this place! Now I’m buying teas like a boss and getting my natural antioxidants on. Staff are so friendly and educational. I tell them the flavours I like, the caffeine levels or what’s perfect for whatever ailment troubles me(sleepy time teas!) and they got me covered. Started to get a little cray with my teas and cooled them over lemon. Decided to add some fresh herbs and mix with vodka, cocktail night with the girls is forever changed! Also the LoyalTea program is great :)

This is just a fun place to shop for tea or accessories. Not your run of the mill franchise tea store. Majesteas is an independently owned which makes for a more exciting selection and experience. I’ve shopped here several times when I needed a special unique gift.

Yes, your royal highness, this tea shop never fails to make me smile whenever I make a stop here. There’s a wide selection of teas, which you can peruse without pressure. Being able to browse their offerings at your own leisure, open and sniff all the jars you want, because it’s all in front of you, is the best part of Majesteas. Much different than other tea stores, particularly the chains, that have their teas behind the counter, leaving you feeling awkward and rushed over having to bother staff and accumulating a pile of tins you’ve wafted but probably won’t buy. Well, not here! Heck, it may be a small store, but never crowded. The folks here are always joyful and friendly, if not royal. Grab a pack of loose-leaf tea, or a cup of the stuff, hot or cold. Stay for afternoon tea. Or buy a magnet commemorating Will and Kate’s wedding(surely they still got a few lying around…), in keeping with the store’s cheeky royal theme and puns. {TTC: any Queen streetcar to either Logan or Carlaw Aves.}

I was here today — I ordered an iced tea(a great day for it, considering the sunny weather). The tea was notably a bit tart, they did have honey and sugar, but an ideal solution would have been simple syrup for their iced teas. Maybe next time. They seemed to have a nice selection of loose leaf teas, which I might have checked out, if I hadn’t been gifted some from my fabulous ‘rents…

A great spot to stock up on teas in the area. This small shop is run by knowledgeable staff who are willing to geek out with you about tea. There are a few seats to enjoy your cuppa with a few sweet treats(some gluten-free options available). The décor is modern with apple greens against dark wood. My favourite tea from Majesteas is the Osmanthus Oolong. With a sweet and lightly fruity scent, this tea is excellent for all occasions.

Majesteas is a lovely tea shop in Leslieville. You can pop in for a brewed cup, or buy a tin to gift to someone. It is a little expensive, but the tea is of really high quality. There are samples available so you can sniff them all before you choose. The staff lets you happily browse and smell the teas without bother. Staff is super friendly and helpful, and extremely knowledgeable. There are alot of accessories for sale, and combos if you are looking for a gift bundle. They also have a loyalty program. The Leslieville Picnic blend makes the best iced tea I have ever had, with green tea and strawberry and papaya. so fantastic. Out of all of the speciality tea shops, this is my favourite. Worth a visit.

I smell almost Every single tea at Majesteas tea and have fun doing that! :) Friendly staffs and storeowner! Just love little establishment like Majesteas. The tea selections really from around the World: China, Japan, India and more… of course there are herbal tea available too… I also sample the Tea of the Day which is an Irish Blend… strong and dark with a malty flavour… but I settled for a Asaam White instead. They have this Loyaltea program which is good if you are a regulars! Majesteas for sure is a great tea shop, drop by next time when you are in the area… and smell some tea! :)

Majesteas has a similar setting to other franchise Tea provider but compared to DavidsTea there is something that the friendly staff repeated to me a few times. «Feel free to take a smell of the Tea» which applies to this place much more because the Tea tins are not behind the staff’s counter. This means you can get much more hands on without having to constantly make request for smells and also take your time to enjoy and browse rather than rush your experience if another guest is looking for one of the staff to serve them. I got Lapsang Souchong($ 2 or so) to try because I’ve always been curious and when I smell the strongest notes of BBQ smoke, it even gave me more reason to try. Let’s just say it’s not a tea for everyone but I chose it based on the DETAILED descriptions on the tins and bags themselves which DavidsTea is dependant on your server if you’re lucky enough for your turn.
