This is a review of my experience in June 2015. I saw on Mrs Bridal’s Instagram account that they had gotten some more sole-mates(a little rubber thing you put on your heel so your heels don’t sink into the grass) in stock. As my wedding was taking place on grass, I called ahead to make sure they were in stock to pick a few sets up. I picked them up no problem and the lady who helped me was very nice and friendly. However, when I returned on the same day to buy a few more sets, the store was closed already even though it was at least an hour before the listed closing time. The same thing happened to my bridesmaid a few days later. The fact that its operating hours can’t be relied on is a bit problematic.

I had a fantastic experience at Mrs. Bridal both wedding shopping and returning to pick up my dress. The store was happy to accomodate myself and my bridal party of 4 with a private seating area and waters. We were able to browse the store and pick out styles we liked. The service was great and as I tried on dresses, the consultant noted what I liked and disliked about the dress and brought me other dress suggestions. I left Toronto to return to Buffalo undecided between two beautiful dresses. When I called the store later that week, they accommodated my request to return to the store to try both dresses on again and decide. The quality and style dresses in the store are gorgeous. This isn’t really the place for you if you want the traditional princess dress(although they did have a few beautiful ball gowns) however if you were looking for a slimmer style with beautiful details then you’ll have plenty to choose from!

Lovely selection of dresses… too bad about the terrible service. I went with my best friend to pick out wedding dresses last month, and I could not believe the service by our sales person. In fairness, the other owner seemed much nicer and we were disappointed not to have her for our appointment. The dresses were lovely… but without service, guidance… even conversation with the sales person, I didn’t feel inspired to get my dress there. You want to feel happy when picking out your wedding dress and my friend and I felt like we were wasting her time.

After visiting two other bridal stores(Lea Ann Betler and Beckers), I was sorely disappointed with Mrs. Bridal boutique. After reading a great review in the paper and seeing some of their unique designers on line, they did not live up to expectations. It is a smaller boutique and the intimacy of the space is perfect. The one positive is that you will be the only bride on the floor trying on a dress. They were not welcoming and didn’t pay much attention, just briefly told me where to put dresses I was interested in and to tell them when I was ready to try things on. I may as well have been shopping for a pair of jeans at the mall. From a sales perspective, they were unhelpful. While pleasant enough, they had no recommendations on what other styles they had that I might like and didn’t actively try to help when I explained what elements I was looking for. By contrast, my consultant at Beckers walked me through the entire store looking at dresses with me then brought out additional ones she thought I’d like based off of what I liked about the dresses I was trying on. With every dress I tried on, she narrowed down the«needed» points until we found a perfect gown! While Mrs. Bridal has a wonderful layout and some very unique designers, they fell short on quality of service. Picking out a dress can be overwhelming, the least they could do is ask a bride what she’s looking for and offer suggestions! At this point in time I would not recommend this boutique to anyone given that there are much better bridal stores with eager and helpful sales clerks out there.

I am trying to be objective by rating it a 4. From a service, and atmosphere perspective, it was wonderful. However, it’s 3 in my books, as the styles were not what I was looking for — but how can I judge a place like that! This newly opened boutique on the north side of Davenport carries the more unique designs you wouldn’t find else where. May they aren’t but they definitely feel like one of a kind. If you’re looking for the non-traditional, come here. That being said, I’m in between for my dress — I wanted a combo of both old and new worlds. This is one of my ‘n’th stores, and I think I already know which dress I am going to buy(not from here). Only 2 dresses, in their entire visible collection stood out to me. I only tried on 3 in total, and left feeling a little sad, but confident at the same time. The price point here is somewhere between what you would find at any bridal salon and say, White Bridal. One dress I tried on was $ 5000 and she said that’s on the higher end of their range. I would say majority at $ 1500+. Walking in, we were offered drinks — «water, mimosa, tea» … mimosa! well, not really. They gave us both a Fiji water. Here you get a sense of the clientele they are trying to attract. The first floor was jewelry(some really pretty pieces), facinators(I had to look this up ), hair accessories, and some lacey underthings for your wedding night. Second floor was their dress collection. There was probably only 50 dresses in here, but I believe handpicked from collections for a certain reason. The one of the two I picked out made me feel like a fairy in a good way. It was an empire waist, with a shear dress, but a shear covering on top with gold flowers. It’s one of those dresses that if done incorrectly, can look very cheap. It wasn’t all. But it was also $ 5000. Come here if you’re looking for something unique and not the traditional stuff. They’ve got short dresses, more unique conservative styles etc etc. Free parking for one hour between 8 –6pm on Hilsboro Ave(says no exit after Avenue Road)
