Pleasant View Library

It’s one of the smaller libraries, but I like going there because of it. It offers the basic functions of the library. I use it for mainly picking up holds and a quick drop off of books. With the holds/​reserve system, you can access any book within the Toronto Public Library database… so you’re not restricted by content — that’s for sure. I go during the weekends — and the place is filled with students getting tutored on weekend mornings. It’s sometimes hard to get a spot to get an outlet or table spot for your laptop or electronic device. They do have desktops as well.
The parking lot is shared with the community centre nearby, so sometimes the parking can be hard to come by.
Staff are friendly, and helpful!

As far as the other libraries go, this is one of the smaller libraries in Toronto.
Pleasant Ville is located between the primary school and the Community Centre on Van Horne surrounded by nothing but the ‘burbs. The library itself is quite small, especially in terms of tables and seating. There is a lobby area that has a nice selection of magazines as well as a conference room to the side.
The tables are few and all close to each other in proximity. There are a small number of lounge chairs around and electrical outlets can be located along the ceiling poles scattered around. As far as comfort, the furniture is a bit outdated.
Noise level isn’t very high, but it gets worse once school is let out around 3pm or so. There will be a period of time where you’ll have some kids running towards the huddle of computers in the center of the library. Otherwise, it’s not a bad library.
P. S. Parking is small, but not much traffic coming through.

Looking for a library to chill in between meals and to charge up my toys. My GPS led me to Pleasant Ville Library.
Pleasantville is not on the main road or close to a lot of schools so it is not really busy. In fact when I walked in right after 3:30, all the three communal tables where empty! Outlets, maybe because there’s no outlets? They cleverly has outlets hidden in a floor to ceiling pole… that’s just so awesome!!!
Wifi here is fast and stable since there’s not too many people sharing the connection.
I kind of took a power nap here… it was that quiet…
