Redwood Medi Spa & Wellness Centre

I actually tried this medspa based on Farah’s review and was not disappointed (I’ve always been curious since this place is a few blocks from Costco and is on my way). I also booked a microderm/​stem cell facial with Maggie and was impressed with the thoroughness of the facial as well as her assessment of my skin. Maggie is also the owner and I love her story on how she started the business (go mama-​preneurs!).
The facial itself was very thorough — Maggie used 2 different microderm tips and carefully went over in detail the problem spots with the thinner tip (I’m still a newbie to microderms and the last place I went to just used the one tip and did 3 even passes without customization) but Maggie zoned in on all my trouble spots and completely customized the microderm. During both the steam and the mask (bonus!) I had a wonderful décolletage massage where she give me a thorough RMT level massage of my shoulders and back. She explained each of the products in detail which I love since I like to hear what’s being put on my skin. The extractions were gentle and she ended with an enzyme mask. A wonderful last touch was a hot towel on my back to wipe off the massage oil PLUS another mini bonus massage! For me, this was such a great combo of a very professional medspa treatment yet still maintaining the relaxing feel of a traditional facial.
The only thing I would say is that I think they are still working out some kinks (my consult was in the lobby which was a bit distracting but not a big deal) and she did introduce/​promote some products which I’m used to, that’s just the industry (after all, I can respect an entrepreneur trying to run their business!). However, this place is truly a best kept secret with amazing quality facials!

Let’s expand on that a little bit — usually I don’t buy spa services through deal specials. Because most times you get what you pay for.
It was a very pleasant surprise to find that it was one of the best microderm facials I’ve ever had done (compared to the likes of Elmwood, Stillwater) with the added benefit that the lead medical aesthetician, Maggie is one of the best people I’ve met.
There is incredible attention to details, state of the art equipment, and a great line of high end, professional spa products they use for the services.
Didn’t have super high expectation first time I showed up, but the thorough consultation prior to service, Maggie’s vast knowledge in her industry, the incredible results following had me convince to come back.
My skin looked glowing and dewy for weeks.

Yesterday was my last day of my weight management program and body contouring package, I did the measurement and I couldn’t be happier. Not only I lost 10 lbs, but also I lost a couple of inches and now I can fit to the clothes I haven’t been able to fit in 2 years. Only 3 sessions, my laser hair removal results are amazing, I’m definitely ready for the summer!
I initially went to Redwood for Acne Peels, Maggie is the most knowledgeable medical aesthetician I’ve seen, she took her time to get to know my skin and life style, understand my concerns, explain the procedure and home care, check in with me to follow up with my skin reactions. My acne quickly cleared up. When I made up my mind to get rid of my muffin top, Maggie and Dr. Rick went over the program in great details and coaching me through the program, I learned so much about nutrition, healthy life style and beauty inside out tips, the BodyFX for body contouring treatment is comfortable and effective, I just felt the gentle pulling sensation from the vacuum and warm sensation from the Radio frequency, skin felt red and warm after a treatment and it subside in a few hours.
I love this place, it’s in a nice 401/​Avenue rd neighborhood and have free parking. I would highly recommend it!
