Social Butterfly carries a mish mash of almost everything it seems. There are shoes, accessories, clothing. The space isn’t very big so there isn’t much on the racks. I took a look through but nothing appealed to me at the time. I might come back again & see what different items they have next season.

The competition is tough along the Danforth and this shop rises above. They carry’s a great selection of reasonably priced designers like DEPT, Kenzie and a simple line of stylish boots/shoes. Not pushy, which is a nice way to browse/shop.

Very cute shop with great shoes and a good selection of quality dresses. It almost feels like the stock has been curated. Boutique feel, but reasonable prices. Went in wearing a French Connection dress I paid $ 100+ for only to see it there on sale for $ 59. Ugh! Really friendly staff, lots of fun accessories and bright colours. More expensive than my usual haunts but as mentioned before, great sales. Nice find.

The Danforth is a really interesting place to shop and the type of place where you chance upon things in store windows as you’re walking by. Chances are, when you fixate on the object of your next bank-breaking purchase, it’s in a moment when you’re super busy and don’t have time to run in, or the store is closed, or you were out for a run and you don’t have your wallet(and you’re sweaty). Social Butterfly has an amazing(and not-too-big, not-too-small stock approach) selection of women’s clothing, including brand-name jeans and shoes. They have a huge selection of unique accessories(jewellery, belts, scarves(!!!) and hats) and I really believe that there is something in the store for everyone. There’s a discounted section at the back of the store which often has great finds and the store has sales here and there where you can get great stuff cheap(er). The window displays are always simple, but fabulously eye-catching and the staff are just cool. They just let you look around and shop. Unlike the crazy woman who runs a shop down the street… I’m going to say it, it’s called Parade. The lady is unbelieveable. No joke. Don’t even chance it. If you don’t believe me, read the Unilocal reviews on this place. The only thing that Social Butterfly might be said to lack in an otherwise bohemian and eco-conscious neighbourhood(it’s directly across the street from the Carrot Common) is a sense of environmental awareness. The stock seems to be from wherever in the world, I’m not sure if they have finds from local designers and I’m not sure about their social presence otherwise. But the store seems to really work in this neighbourhood. It’s one of the only ones catering to a somewhat younger crowd. The prices can be considered high-ish, but when you consider that four subway stops away you’re in Yorkville, the prices suddenly don’t seem all that bad. All in all, a little gem in a great neighbourhood. Try it!

Social Butterfly is great little boutique to buy unique clothes and accessories and it’s one of my favourite shops in Greektown. I love the variety of brands that are carried and I know I can always find something if I have a wedding or big event to dress for. The woman that owns the store also own La Di Da Boutique on the Danforth(just east of Broadview, north side) and divides her time between both locations. she’s very sweet and doesn’t crowd you when you shop. Sometimes she doesn’t say hi though, but it’s usually because she’s busy. I bought a cute wool pencil skirt for half price during boxing day last year. I wear it all the time and I always get complimented on it! They also stock lots of great shoes– I got the last pair of steve madden cowboy boots that are my favourite boots that I still wear! Hanky pankies are available at the standard price, but now that Victoria Secret offers the exact same panty(3 for $ 30), I’ve shifted to buying them there. The prices are a little on the higher side, but there are always options on the sale rack. One thing that bothers me is that the owner keeps clothes on the sales rack for a long time. I understand that it’s a small store and the turnaround for new items is less frequent that bigger stores, but the sale section could use more frequent updating.

I have been to this store a few times and I always find something great. I do like shopping in little boutiques over the large box stores mainly for the reason that you end up wearing different clothes from everyone else. They have a great sales rack which is the first thing I always check out. I definitely recommend stepping into this little place next time you are wandering Danforth.

Good things come in small packages! This tiny boutique is my favourite shop on the Danforth. Social Butterfly is the perfect place to go if you’re looking for an outfit /accessories for a special night out(or just something that will wow people). The clothes are definitely unique and the store carries a lot of great brands — like Kensie! As the other reviewers mentioned the prices can be a little high, but the good news is they have some great sales. For example, I scored a really cute Kensie dress a few weeks ago for about $ 50, marked down from $ 120!(And of course this prompted me to visit again, where I bought a great summer skirt to wear to the office.) Keep in mind though, all sale items are non-returnable. The accessories are gorgeous too, and the shop has lots to choose from. I would come here if I was looking to buy a birthday present for a good friend(and in fact I did!). Not a huge selection of shoes, but they do carry Steve Madden. The girls who work here deserve a special mention, too. They’re more than willing to help out or advise a customer and also just fun to chat with. That said, they’re also great at keeping a bit of distance and letting you do your own thing. When I try things on they leave me along and don’t try and upsell me or bring other items I’m not looking for. Five stars for you, ladies!

I love this little store. It’s the sort of fun flirty little boutique that you would find in Nolita area of Manhattan. For a small store, they have a fairly large assortment of different clothes and jewelry. As the other reviewers said, the prices are on the tad pricey side, but not too unreasonable, especially since they do carry unique items. Definitely a worthwhile place to shop when you have some spending money.

I’m glad I finally figured out what the name of this store is. I went here and got a beautiful felt skirt with shapes cut out around the hem. Many compliments were received on the purchase. I went in here again yesterday. I could easily drop a load of cash in here but I managed to exercise some restraint. They have a whole wall of beautiful jewellery to choose from. The clothes are a bit on the pricier side but they’re so pretty! A good selection of belts, hats and purses too. This is now in my top ten favourite shops in Toronto!

This little boutique is unique and well worth the drive over to the Danforth. They carry unique brands and stuff that no one else would ever have. They have dresses all year round and are quite flirty and girly. The price range is a little bit on the high end but no where near as bad as Anthropologie which when speaking with the owner is what she aspires her store to be like. Casual dresses are anywhere from $ 40-$ 80 and more formal wear will go upwards to $ 160. They also have a pretty big display of costume jewelry which caught me by surprise at how much they cost. But I’ve never seen any of these pieces before and are extremely unique. There are handbags for sale as well as undergarments like the brand Hanky Panky as well as some great Steve Madden stuff. Basically you can find stuff in this store from tops to bottoms to dresses to belts and everything in between.
