Stop’n Shop Convenience Store

This place is the greatest. I go here almost everyday and the owners are fabulous people. You can get most of your daily needs there. Way better than the Shopper’s Drug Mart!!!

Amazingly, I will sometimes opt for this Convenience store over the Shopper’s Drug Mart across the street. I have nothing against the Shopper’s Drug Mart (except for it’s long ass lines and sometimes disgruntled cashiers), it’s because I like to feel a part of a community.
Now, these guys don’t have the greatest selection of all time and the prices aren’t the most fantastic. It’s the two owners of this store that keep me coming back.
They greet meet and I greet them. They smile sincerely. They genuinely are appreciative of my business — and on more than one occasion will ask me questions about my life outside of the rectangular store.
And that works? You bet your ass it does! As long as I’m living in Dovercourt, this is my convenience store!

This convenience store isn’t much to look at and certainly isn’t alone on this strip of Bloor, where every 4^th business seems to be a convenience shop. I find the lady who works here friendly and that’s enough for me to elevate the Stop n’ Shop from a ‘Meh’ to ‘A-​OK’. On all other fronts it’s your average small convenience store. Lottery tickets, non-​alcoholic beverages, junk food, printed literature and cigarettes are the mainstay.
