Sugarmoon

Soooo… I don’t know what other girls’ expectations are for this sort of thing, but if I come in to get my junk waxed, I really want the job done well. I want meticulous attention to detail, no strays, and no additional tweezing for me to do at home. Also, I’m not that hairy, so I’m a quick wax, take the time to do it right, ok?
Came in for an «g-​string bikini». This place seemed alright. I liked that I could book online. The shop was cute, and my sugar-​er was really chatty and lovely. I liked the sugar stuff, it definitely seems less irritating that traditional wax. But she didn’t ask me to inspect her work when she was done, and I HATE that. This is a very personal service, and I prefer to be asked if it’s done to my liking.
While my skin was not irritated at all, the aesthetics just weren’t there. The remaining shape was just weird. I want my stuff to look pretty! I’m not afraid to say that. This was not pretty, and frankly, it wasn’t all that «g-​string» ether, I would definitely go for the brazilian if you like a more bare look. This was not as bare as I would have liked, and it just didn’t look that great. So here’s me at home with the tweezers fixing myself up. ARGH. For $ 40, make it look cute! Is that too much to ask?

I usually get hard waxed for brazilians, but decided to give Sugarmoon a try because my sister raves about it (not this location in particular, but this was the closest one to me). However, I was NOT pleased with my experience.
There was a lot of little hairs leftover and she didn’t bother to remove them with a tweezer (maybe 10 – 15 hairs). I’m super OCD with that, so that was a big no-​no, especially when I’m paying $ 50+ for this service. In addition to that, when I got home I noticed a big patch of hair that was completely missed! I think that’s what ticked me off the most. The area that was missed was AT LEAST the size of a toonie. How can she possibly miss that?!
I’ll probably visit Sugarmoon again at their Danforth or College locations to give them a second chance, but will definitely make my appointment with Paola or Ann, who my sister swears by.

I’m not going back to hard wax. Nope. I refuse. Won’t do it after getting sugared here! The location is convenient, great décor, staff are quite friendly and Cailey is awesome! Minimal discomfort compared to traditional hard wax used in Brazil.
Love this place and will be back for sure!

After going here I will never go anywhere else for hair removal! The whole process was quick and relatively painless. Rooms and reception area were well decorated and clean. Caleigh was absolutely amazing and was very accommodating. I would highly recommend this place to everyone!

My first experience at Sugar Moon was great with the small exception that I had no idea where it was and when I phoned for directions no one answered the phone.
That being said the services were EXCELLENT and I will be back

Ever since I’ve tried sugaring, I prefer it to waxing. It is much more natural than wax, and I find it less painful.
Sugarmoon gets 5 stars all-​around for their cleanliness, wonderfully skilled aestheticians, cute décor, affinity towards natural products, and consistently friendly, exceptional service.
And I love this new location!
