I stopped here looking for shirting on my last trip to Toronto. There is a huge variety to choose from, and some very high end designer fabrics at very reasonable prices. I bought some beautiful Loro Piana plaid cotton and several Thomas Mason fabrics as well. These are not last decade’s colors or designs, either, but new colors and designs. They have some seriously top quality materials there for suiting as well, including even vicuna in an overcoat weight. Pricing was more than fair, and far less than I’m used to paying at Britex in San Francisco for the same or sometimes lesser quality. The staff knows the place and the stock perfectly, and you couldn’t ask for better service. I was immediately greeted, asked if I wanted a bottle of water or some tea, and everyone was pleased to help with selections — no matter how high up the wall the bolts were. The only down side is there are no buttons or notions, but it’s easy enough to find those elsewhere. I am very pleased I went and I will be back when it’s time again for new shirts.

Excellent place to visit if you want to shop around with a variety of different fabrics. Literally stacked top to bottom of shelves. There are amazing deals, I was able to get quite a bit of high end quality fabrics for cheap. The owner was very friendly as well. He was really helpful and knew his store like the back of his palm. They also do alterations and make suits.

Sultan has to be one of the best fabric wholesalers in the city, if not the country. Or at least the best one that actually opens his door to the common public. As the pictures will attest, he literally has walls of every kind of fabric you may want for your shirts, pants, jackets, lining and outerwear. He carries everything from silk to chambray and various blends of wool, wool-cashmere, silk-cashmere etc. at the entire range of price points. Of special note is that he carries all the ultra-luxo Italian fabric makers(Canali, Zegna, Kiton) as well as some of the English Bond St/Saville Row makes(Holland & Sherry, Dormeuil) but he will give them to you at WHOLESALEPRICES! Best deal here is easily the«Pant Pile,» as I have come to call it. These are stray ends of a roll of fabric that he will give you two yards for at an EXCEPTIONALLY low price, irrespective of the make and quality of the material. You can walk away with silky-cashmere for less than the cost of basic white shirt fabric. He can also recommend tailors, pant-makers and shirt makers for you to take your fabric to and receive special pricing! If you are in need of fabric, there is really nowhere else you would want to go.

I was introduced to Sultan’s Fine Fabrics by a friend and the shop is truly a hidden gem. There’s an enormous selection of fabric from fine silk to cotton to the best cashmere. Sultan and his staff are very nice people and you can tell that they are very passionate about what they do. If you are looking for fabric(no matter what kind), Sultan’s Fine Fabrics is the place to go.

Sultan’s is the place to go for any sort of suiting or coat fabric. His selection ranges from simple fabrics to exquisite cashmeres, if you come here and cannot find what you are looking for, chances are you will not be able to find it anywhere else. Unparalleled selection of shirt materials, suit cloth, suit linings and coat material. Sultan is extremely helpful and passionate about fabrics and is also a great person. If you are looking for a tailor he will definitely be able to point you in the right direction. EDIT: This one got pushed down by the filter not sure why. Anyways an update since I first went: have bought fabric for shirts, suits and coats and couldn’t be happier. Before you go out and spend $ 1000 on something at Harry Rosen come to Sultan’s first.
