On a Saturday night around 11pm you’d expect this bar to be hopping with business and leisurely travellers, guests of the Trump and local people watchers alike as well as the usual bar scene crowd.
This is not the case at the Calvin bar. 3 tables full when I went on Saturday night, the bar was disappointingly empty. The bartenders lack personality, though nice and make good drinks they fail to captivate the patrons in comparison to other bars (think bar chef or bar Raval). Music is not loud enough for a bar/​lounge.
I’d find this bar a great place for a drink to catch up with an old friend but for a trendy happening place (that I would assume lends itself to the Trump name) Calvin Bar misses the mark my a landslide.

This bar looks high end and has high end prices while the drinks lived up to their prices the service didn’t. The washrooms were gross so we only stayed for one drink so we could avoid them. The waiter appeared annoyed we were there. I contacted the bar to discuss our visit but they have yet to reply. So the rating stays at 2⁄5 should likely be 1⁄5 but they did give you free yummy popcorn so it gained an extra star.

I only know this as the bar in the Trump Hotel, and there was nothing really memorable about it.
Had a couple of beers, watched some Canadian football, paid my bill, left. It wasn’t especially cheap, wasn’t especially expensive, but it was downstairs from my hotel room and it served beer. That’s all I’ve got for you.

Very nice bar, friendly staff, cocktails are quite delicious and there is a never ending supply of popcorn which is a huge plus! They just keep refilling the bowl!
We also ordered fried chicken to help soak up the alcohol and they were also amazing it was fresh, crispy, and well seasoned, maybe I’m not used to it, but it also came with a tiny cup of watermelon which was quite refreshing but not sure if it went well with it.
The cocktails are a bit on the pricier side, but maybe I don’t frequent nice bars/​lounges that often.
Also they close relatively early on weekdays (I went on a Wednesday and they were wrapping up at around 10:30)
All in all, good stuff!

We came here for the first time and were greeted like royalty upon entering the building lobby. Could not have been made to feel more special! Both staff and bartender Greg made out night extra special. I want to come back here and stay and be pampered! Oh!!! Order the best fish taco in the city and the most incredible koygu beef sliders!!! Oh. My. God!!!
