Good beer. Nice back area and lots of seats. Five star padio. Feels like an extention of my living room

The service is horrendously bad. Their unique and great choice of beers are mostly gross, and the food was very«okay».

Don’t come here during the day for a patio drink and bite to eat. The servers hate their jobs and will ignore you at every opportunity. Also, the taps are dry. Hardly any beer on tap.

I have literally waited at the bar for 30 mins and no service. It’s the same for everyone else waiting for a drink. I finally flagged down a server and she made sure to let me know that she doesn’t work behind the bar but she would help me out — lucky me. Awful awful awful. No hustle, poor service and sub par atmosphere.

I used to love going to this place, but sadly it’s declining on the totem pole of dive bars. It’s either the inconsistent service, the zero –functioning urinals/toilet, or just my increased standard as a drinking patron. can’t put a finger on it. 5 Stars for Beer selection. A gazillion different beers available and one of the few places in the city that serves just about any percentage in a real pint glass! 1 Star for food, although I’ll order the burger if I have to.

Place with nice armosphere and good crowd. Very nice selection of beers from all around the world and devent pics on draft. The place is really noisy but overall great atmosphere. Services might be little bit slow, but no rush in the night eh? Their food is not pricy but the size and taste could be definitely much much better. Get your teeth ready for pretty hard pizza if you go with that option.

The rhino is my favourite local spot for drinks with friends. Beers are cheap, and the have the biggest selection I’ve seen, second only to the Bier Markt. They have a giant patio, two pool tables, and plenty of seating. Casual and simple, but friendly and warm. The food is good, and reasonably priced and the servers are lovely. I’ve been here at least 10 times and the only thing that used to bother me was the gross bathrooms, which I can happily say have been renovated since them and are now great for taking selfies in(or whatever you do in bathrooms) Love you Rhino! P. S. try the beet salad yummmm

Great for beer lovers I GUESS… but they didn’t have much else to offer. A small food menu; which was ok and good choices BUT the server had no clue about any of the food options on the menu AND75% of the items on the menu were sold out??? It took just about well over an hour to get our food on the table, which only consisted of: A single serving of nachos(which had no side of guacamole available) and came out soggy with a poor ratio of chips: toppings. A single serving of the currie dip — which again had a very little amount of rice given to the large portion of sauce and only 2TINY pieces of nan bread. When we asked the server if the dip contained meat due to the large chunks swimming in it, she was unable to tell us and took 15 minutes to ask the kitchen. which, btw it was NOT meat… and we never found out what it was. A salad which was ok but again soggy and probably had been sitting waiting to be taking out to us for awhile with the rest of the food. We only got 2 sets of cutlery between four people, we had to keep asking for the water jug to be refilled and the whiskey sour had been forgotten for 20+ minutes until we reminded her. Maybe she was new… sure seemed like it. Better training could be done or given her less tables on a Friday night. The only word she seemed to know of the english language was«Sorry» Well sorry server 22 I will not be returning to the Rhino anymore due to you.

The Rhino is a beer focused pub near Dufferin and Queen. They have inaccessible, gendered bathrooms and a vegetarian, but not vegan friendly menu. However, if you’re looking for a somewhat large patio, an impressive beer list, pool, acceptable bar food and a large, open space for parties, it does the job. I, however, prefer mixed drinks, vegan options and accessible bathrooms, so I doubt I’ll return. There’s nothing wrong with it, it’ s just not for me.

When I first went to Rhino it felt like a breath of fresh air from the pretentious places dotted around the city, I keep on going back. The food isn’t 5 star worthy, alas the nachos are giant and do the job. I love this joint. It’s my Local where I can take anyone out for a fair priced pint dressed in anything.

The Rhino is a bit of a Parkdale institution, especially given its one of the largest streetfacing patios in the hood. And in true Parkdale form, the place is pretty grimey and definitely a no frills environment. I’ve been here a few times and my experience has always been the same. Pints come out to around $ 7.50 /$ 7.75 after tax which is becoming pretty standard, and I like that they are served in proper pint(20oz) glasses instead of this 16oz trend we’ve been seeing more of lately. The problem is that while the beer menu looks good in size and filled with craft options, every time I’ve come here they are out of what would be my first choice(and sometimes second choice). Also, the bathrooms are ridiculous. None of the urinals actually have water connections(just a drain to empty). Last week when I stopped in, 1 of the 3 urinals was out of service and 1 of the 2 bathroom stalls didn’t even have a door on it. Despite being very rough around the edges, I still like this place for a random drop in beer. 3 stars for that much.

Alrighty, this place ranks high as one of those go-to places in the Parkdale neighbourhood. During the summer, this place is packed. A full patio which by no means is small. It’s one of the biggest in the area, too. The reason sitting out there rocks is simple: ample people watching props for its west queen west patio. It’s a come as you are place. By no means is this a classy place. Casual and no pretense. Come for the ‘world of beers’ menu and inexpensive grub.

Stopped by The Rhino on a Friday to check it out. Their beer list was pretty good and the service was fast and friendly. They have a couple pool tables which gives you something more to do than just drink. The food was okay, but I just tried the poutine. I would go here again.

I love this place! I come every once in awhile to Toronto from Hollywood California, to visit family in Parkdale. The owner is always so welcoming, like the grandmother I never had, even remembers me after not visiting for 5 years. So the beer list is great! they have pool tables in the back along with a nice setup outside for the summer months. It’s a place I’ll always visit while in Toronto:) PS the food is great!!! along with the staff!!!

Amazing patio. Great beer selection. Uncomfortable lighting, indoor chairs and tables. Service is always too light. Good burger and wings. Typical pub grub. Will always head here, because we all need a cheap, Familiar pub!

I am forcing myself through the strangest poutine I’ve ever tasted. It tastes like they confused a soup for gravy put my fries in it. Despite that, it’s a nice place, roomy, staff is nice. They seem to have a good selection of beer(which may interest some).

Me and 2 friends came here for some pub food. I’ve been here before(in the summer on the patio). Pros: The rhino burger 8 dollars was delicious. You can taste that the beef quality is exceptional for the price. I got it with the house salad(just greens and some dressing?) It’s a great deal in my opinion for the price. Cons: the service is not the best, however they were understaffed for a wednesday evening. Also the décor could be upgraded. This place is actually a happening place on weekend nights as a place to have drinks in the Parkdale area. I am going to give this place 3 stars(Great value for burger, drink prices are decent, décor and chairs need to be replaced)

What is the saddest thing, lie bot*? It’s your two best friends hating birthday cake and loving poutine, and ordering five orders of takeout poutine, so that you may create a marvellous poutine cake for your 30 house party guests. And walking down to place the order, and then walking back down 25 minutes later to pick up the order and then walking back home to unload the order and unpacking the bags and lining all the boxes up on the table and sticking all the candles and sparklers in and then creating a huge scene and gathering everyone around the table and SURPRISEHAPPYPOUTINECAKE-ALTERNATIVE, EVERYONE, WOWDIGIN! and then everyone dives in with the forks and has served themselves and it suddenly becomes apparent there is NOGRAVY and the gravy had been forgotten. That is the saddest thing lie bot. That is the saddest thing. (*see Achewood.)

Positives: Great crowd. Good food. Great prices. Great selection(357+ beers!) but poor service. Busy. Negatives: Had to chase down the server every time and had empty dishes on the table all night. :/Had to chase her down for the bill. Vent was blowing right on top of me and kept alters bring between warm and cool — I was putting on/taking my clothes(coat) off more than a stripper. Ordered: Amaretto sour, tea, Spanish fries. All good. Overall: If you’ve got a few hours to kill, good. I’ll be back and will just hope that the poor service was a one-off.

//One more bar on my top list of Toronto. You come to the Rhino for their choice of beers, burgers mais above all their huge patio! You can also stay inside to watch some games of play pool. Staff is quick and friendly.

I have a friend who lives by the saying«Rhino, anyone?» and they are pretty funny and always go here, so this place gets an automatic A-OK. This being said, there really isn’t anything special about The Rhino aside from the three Ps: Patio, pool and prices. I have never eaten here. Ever. Which is surprising because they have a massive menu. It seems quite manic, from pastas to Indian inspired meals to traditional pub fare. It always smells tasty here, though, so eventually I’m sure I will drink enough beer on their patio to test drive their pout pout. So they don’t know who they are in terms of chow? Who cares. They know who they are in terms of drink. Always 20 – 25 beers on tap and always at competitive prices. Long live the pachyderm of Parkdale, even if she is a huge, confused dame who is a tad messy. PEPPERTAKESPAUSE: Last time I was there I saw people in the back left area having a function with white table clothes. What the heck did I just see? A wedding at The Rhino?
