Great sale selection outside and helpful staff inside. Easy to find parking in this area on a Saturday really helped too.

Good service! Their shoes are categorized by different qualities such as «support» and they are good at helping you understand which ones you might need.

I love this store so much! I meet the run club on Sunday mornings(& Weds evenings) and I do my running clinic on Thurs evenings! This place is an incredible abundance of running gear! But what makes the store really shine and stand out is its staff. The staff is knowledgeable. The running instructors are friendly and think of the participants’ best interests. Even when I first joined the run club, I was greeted with a smile and welcomed. The manager Sava is a wealth of knowledge and helpful.

Terrible customer service. I needed a new pair of running shoes as I was experiencing knee pain due to my current pair. It was suggested that I go to this location. I was told that they receive training in shoe fit, etc. and they really know what they’re doing. Well… clearly this employee missed her training. I walked in, there was no one else in the store. The employee didn’t even look up. I walked over to the wall of shoes. Finally she came over and asked if I’m looking for running shoes(wow, what gave that away?). I said yes, but since I take a smaller size, I told her that I needed a child’s pair and asked her what the difference is. She told me the Nike shoes are the most popular. I told her I’m not interested in brands and asked if there was a difference between the three different pairs. She said there isn’t for kids. Really? Because each pair had a different symbol next to it. I asked her what the symbols mean. Again, she repeated that they’re all the same and suggested the Nike brand(aka the most expensive). I asked if they had the others in a 3.5. Without checking the stock, she said no. I didn’t want NIke. I don’t run well in Nike. I left. And I won’t be back.

I saw that the Running Room had started their sidewalk sale yesterday, so I decided to peruse the options to see if I could find a good deal. I found the running shoes that I wear marked down to $ 80 when the usually sell for around $ 140-$ 160. Deal! I was sold! I also decided to try on a few other styles and the sales lady was extremely helpful — she answered all of my questions and was very patient with getting me different sizes of the various shoes. If I was writing this review based on the price marked for my shoes and the service I received in store, it would be five stars for sure! This changes when I got home… When I got home I looked at my bill and saw that I was charged $ 90. I called the store back and spoke to the manager and explained the situation. He asked me if I had worn the shoes yet, and I had not. As such, he said I could return the shoes for a refund(sale products are normally final sale). He said that the box had been mislabelled and that the true price is the price that comes up when the box is scanned and this is the price that is set by head office. The manager said that since it was the price set by head office, there was nothing he could do about it. I was really unimpressed by this inflexibility. The manager was very pleasant to speak with, but it’s my understanding that even if a product is mislabelled, the customer has the right to the marked price.

Small, yet comprehensive store focused on runners(leisure and expert) located in Yorkville. The store has everything a runner who plans on participating in a marathon requires, from shoes to nutritional supplements. Service can be slow at times as there are only about 1 – 2 employees working at a given time. It took more than 15 minutes to get a cashier to stop by register so that my friend could pay for a small purchase. Otherwise, this store is an ideal stop for those participating in marathons such as the Toronto Goodlife Marathon.

the staff here is knowledgeable and will help you find exactly what you need whether you are a beginner or advanced. the running clinics are fantastic if you are just starting out or getting back into running. the path they take through rosedale is beautiful and the groups are generally very motivating. the gear is hands down the best for runners. i’ve always find what i am looking for. if you call ahead with specific items they will also hold things for you that are low stock. this is the best place to get running shoes if you are unsure of what would work for you. through the process of trail & error, i have found the best shoes for my body specific needs. i don’t have to worry about injury anymore because i am wearing the wrong shoes as i have in the past. & when in doubt, always ask! currently i’ve been loving their versatile mesh shirts, makes running outdoors a breeze.

Would have given these guys five stars if their staff was consistently as knowedlegabe as the folks at The Runners Shop on Bloor. Nevertheless the Running Room is great! Have everything you need and dont need and staff is helpful and know their stuff. Great!

I love the Running Room. They really actually have the best gear when it comes to running stuff. They also do running clinics that are rumored to be the bomb, although I have only ever«thought» about taking one, but never really joined up. When it comes to buying sneakers for the gym, this is hands down the best spot. Nothing beats it. They really know their stuff. And if you pronate like me or have bad knees, you can’t leave your gym shoe choice to some pip-squeak working at Nike for the discount. Know what I mean?
