I like these small family run convenience store dotting the retail strips around Toronto. Unlike many other businesses, they are not replicas of each other, and sometimes they will offer something special. They also are a vital part of the community they are in and help people out with info and advice when needed. Winston’s is located just west of Spadina on the north side of Queen right across from one of CAMH’s addiction treatment centers with the other direction being the Alexandra Housing Coop so not the best area. In spite of that, the service has always been good when I’ve been at this store and I’ve been treated courteously. They have the usual convenience items with a small selection of candy.
