It’s pretty pricey for the rather subpar quality but it is open very late. The burgers themselves are not as good as BK’s or Five Guys but cost just as much as Five Guys. The only plus is that they have solid sweet potato fries and onion rings.

Nosh and Nibble came here and I ordered the following: Mushroom Mozza Burger($ 5) Onion Rings($ 4.25) The Mushroom Mozza Burger came with the aforementioned mushrooms, grilled onions, and a new dijon aioli sauce. The mushrooms were a little juicy and chewy but lacked any stand-out flavour in my opinion. The grilled onions were caramelized as expected but I’m not sure if they were the same onions used in onion rings. What’s important is that this burger was a big departure from the traditional Mozza Burger. There was no mozza sauce, lettuce, tomato, or bacon to speak of in this similarly-priced burger, so you’ll want to keep note of the meat-source count if that’s important to you. While this wasn’t a bad burger, I think the name is a little misleading given what customers have been accustomed to when they order a traditional Mozza Burger. The Onion Rings here were a little oilier than what I was accustomed to. The breading was a little messy when bitten into and I felt that they tasted old. I reckon there might be some sacrifices in quality when a restaurant chain is 24 hours and sadly that’s what happened here. Still, nothing was as oily as what was found at UBC Village’s A&W.

Decent fast food burger selection, items come quickly and friendly staff. Lots of seating and clean. I find that A&W is getting a little on the pricey side given that it’s fast food, but if you sign up for their email coupons or get the paper ones in the mail, it’s worth a stop!

Was planning to go to a «Mexican» establishment nearby, but it had a long line up, so ended up here today for lunch. I was hooked when I saw the mozza burger combo for $ 6.xx. Service was quick and prompt. I probably haven’t had the mozza burger in years, but I definitely don’t remember the mozza tasting so good. The mozza was wonderfully melted, and I can definitely taste it amongst the patty, the buns, and the other fixings. Fries were not bad, but it’s not as good as McDonald’s! The root beer is always good. I like how I don’t have to say«no ice» because A&W never puts ice cubes in their root beer. Only downside is that it’s a pain in the butt to run over to the cashier to let them know you want to use the washroom, they buzz, and you have to run back to the washroom to use it :(

This location is on the west part of robson, though it’s only a few blocks from the library. Much bigger. Even a private section seating in the middle.

Ordinarily I’d give A&W higher ratings– but lately I’ve been turned off from A&W. First AlberniSt. stopped putting real cheese in teen burgers; when I sent an email, they claimed it was due to a new melting procedure(like I DON’T know the difference!) Now, tis location stops putting Cheddar in a Bacon CHEDDAR Uncle burger! I suspect the owners are cutting corners on their food costs– but in the end, their hurting their own– and head office– reputation and in doing so, decreasing sales. As I can no longer trust them to have cheddar for a burger, Now the ONLY thing A&W has to offer, is their frosted mug rootbeer– and for me, that isn’t enough. Head Office, take note, and clean this up! check their order histories and ask why the cheddar slices ordered are far less than the burgers they make!

Was in A&W at this location. first time since I moved to Vancouver 11 years ago. I brought a group of friends form Japan and had told them the Root Beer Floats were so amazing … the last time I had one was more than 11 years ago … Everyone including myself was so disappointed … the taste was bad and they used a hockey puck style of ice cream that didn’t seem to be or taste like ice cream … Also the prices are way higher than the other burger franchises … Ws my first time back in many years and my last. My group of friends will never return either, they felt ripped off. just letting you know our experience and thoughts.

I found a pubic hair In my pancakes. The cashier refused to give my money back because she didn’t have authorization. She said I can come back later. How about you give my money back right now or I cause a scene. That did the trick. Highly do not recommend this hole in the ground. God only knows what went into the pancake batter. *barf*

OK, i usually feel super guilty about fast food restaurants and hate them unless i want to just fill myself up with something quick and hate myself later… but this A&W location is actually not bad. surprising.

I come here ’cause it is the closet quick thing before a Commodore or Venue show late at night. Not the greatest burger but at least it fills my belly before the mosh pit. Customer service always screws up my service, therefore, allow some additional time for corrections. Prices are expensive for what it is, therefore, my best friend and I only go when we have coupons.

Creamy root beer. You win. Creamy root beer float. I bow before you. One of the more delicious and expensive fast food chains, but I don’t care. It is certainly worth the calories and pennies. **TIP: Look out for their coupons and flyers all year round. Those usually give you a good deal and an even better reason to visit A&W!

It’s been over 5 years since i had a Mozza burger. Awesomeness!!! Is there anything better than an A&W rootbeer in those chilled glasses? Reediculous! Besides all this, this is a fantastic little fast food place, with top notch staff to boot. Ideal if you’re hungover.

Free wi-fi, self serve ordering kiosks, ‘eco-friendly’ A&W is the new concept store located right on Robson Street. Open 24 hours close to the Granville«Entertainment» strip, so it’s perfect for those late night eats when you don’t want pizza or hot dogs. Fries and onion rings are served in cute little metal baskets, in order to reduce waste. Menus have been place at the counter level, with large pictures of the food for feasibility of ordering. The self serve kiosks are also great, easy to use and minimizes the line ups. Funky retro décor keeps this fast food joint a bit different than the other ones. The free wi-fi is also a bonus. Think if I’m ever craving that Chubby Chicken burger, I’ll be visiting this location.

Not gonna lie: A&W has always been a guilty pleasure of sorts, and this particular location makes it a little less guilty and a fair bit more pleasurable. First off, it’s definitely a lot more jazzed up than your typical A&W burger spot. The sandwiches are all packed differently, not in their signature foil bags, but rather in beige-coloured paper wrappers. When eating in, they serve their root beer in mugs(which does happen in select locations), and their onion rings are dished up in cute little metal baskets too. Plus, they even have shakers on the table with that lovely spice they use on their onion rings too, so you can liberally douse all your food with that spicy, salty, orange-tinted powdery lovin’. This location is open 24-hours, which makes it extra convenient for random cravings at literally all hours of day(or night), and it even offers self-service ordering kiosks too, in case you want to order your grub and keep the human interaction to an absolute minimum. With A&W being a guilty pleasure, I’ve made my rounds of more than a few locations here and randomly across the province-country, and I’ve seen some items here that just aren’t available elsewhere too: a chipotle chicken sandwich, for instance. Exciting stuff. Obviously, this being a fast food joint at heart, don’t expect Michelin-starred grub or any mentions on Zagat, but hey, what they do here, they do it well, and yes, that just might be me enjoying myself a 4am sandwich sitting at the far table over there…
