WHAT are you EXPECTING folks??? Yes…The pizzeria is located in a hole… On Main St… In a mess-up area… RAD.They are closing at 3pm on Friday and Sat nite. Yes. This place is an hangover place… Yes. This is a late nite drunk snack place to go… I just gobble-up two slice at 2h15am. Forty-five minutes before closing time… AND the pizza WASREALGOOD, WARMANDFRESH… My phone battery sadly was dead… Why??? Just too bad… The Hawaiian and veggies slice was whammy…

A dump. $ 2.50 for cold, desiccated, lightly-topped pizza slices in a dreary, dirty corner of Main & Georgia. I’ve resorted to grabbing a couple of slices on my way home several times and always wished I had gone hungry instead. From the mess on the floor, the decommissioned soda fountain, the sticky, empty ranch & sriracha sauce bottles at the register, the stolen«Granville Island Brewery» sandwich board turned into a makeshift pizza specials sign, and the back-turned-toward-you staff who clearly wish they were someplace else … It just makes one wish someone who CARED about serving GOODPIZZA would come along, when it would be so easy to have a successful business even with $ 1 slices of better quality pizza. The neighbourhood would support it.

A20 Pizza can’t say that«people love us on Unilocal» when they clearly do not. A20 Pizza survives on the people who get out of the bars nearby, and they obviously have no qualms about it. They’re open til 2AM most days, despite their pizza being made several hours earlier and just barely being kept warm. There are multiple and continuous infractions on the Health Inspection Reports filed by Vancouver Coastal Health website. How do they stay open? How are they allowed to continue selling pizza? I do not know. My friend had a hilarious twitter account that they since had discontinued, and that was my favorite thing about them. Their pizza is priced higher than average, at $ 2.25 a slice, and is a pretty poor take on Uncle Fatih’s style greek toppings. I would suggest they change their business model. Perhaps work more on delivery service? Because then they could serve fresh pizzas! Perhaps go the route of Fire and have each slice ready for toasting in the oven. Whatever you try A20, please try something else. I am bummed about your location.

It was late at night and we were hungry. This place is in a not great area, but really close to a handful of bars, one of which we were headed to. It was really really bad. The extra star is for the very polite lady working there and that they were open later than most places, but the pizza was just plain bad. I judge my bad pizza places by the standard of Nizarios in San Francisco, my beloved home that is renowned for poor choices in pizza. Maybe a few more drinks and I would have gone up to three stars. The place was clean and the prices were alright, but we both just left wishing we’d held out longer for something better.
