Best Shawarma place hands down! I got the shawarma plate and it did not disappoint… even though I have high expectations for these places as I’m also from the Middle East. I wanna try their falafel on my next visit.

This place is very tasty and great customer service too. They make it just the way you want it and are happy to accommodate your requests for extra toppings and sauces. I’ll visit one of their three locations again the next time I’m in Vancouver.

I have eaten at A LOT of Middle Eastern/​Shawarma places and this one is just slightlyyy above average. My friend and I each got the chicken shawarma plate with a side of their falafel. The chicken shawarma here is pretty good if not a bit on the saltier side. The potato they add to the dish is great and actually I havnt had that at that many other places. My biggest complaint is the white sauce they put on this dish. Usually im a huge fan of smothering the tahini sauce and the spicy sauce all over the shawarma but the white sauce here is not very good and overpowered the entire dish.
On the other hand, the falafel here is AMAZING. Made fresh to order (he scoops the falafel mixer into the fryer by hand). It is light and fluffy (perfect texture) and the flavor is really there. Its not dry either and has just the right amount of moisture.
I wouldnt necessarily go out of my way to eat here again. BUT, those falafels!!!

Babylon used to be really good back then. Bigger portion with more meat and etc. They used to give parsley salad and hummus when I asked them. Now they charge $ 1 each for hummus and parsley. And this time I got lesser portion of rice and chicken. I used to love their food, but this is ridiculous.

Good price for a downtown location. I got the chicken shawrwa plate and it was delicious and good portion. 5 stars will come back again.

Just like the other locations of Babylon Café, great tasting food. Service is always good and price is not bad at all. I always prefer this place over other middle eastern restaurants.

Surprised not more reviews, especially from locals here, or from a Unilocaler with more reviews.
It’s a notch down from Aladdin Café, on the other end of Robson, where a better atmosphere and fresh baklava too ;), a bit more formal.
Here at BC, it’s more of a casual takeout place. Decent portions and pricing.
Better than their Commercial Drive location, a bit of a dive.

the best shawarma iv ever had !!!

So this is the place where I finally learned the ways of shawarma. Oh.My.God. my life is changed. You walk in, and before you even can see the food, the smells hit you in the face like a ton of deliciousness. The prices are great, and the meat is cooked so well. I will be back.

Felafel served here is fresh and probably the best I ever had.
Chicken shawarma plate is also good.

Seriously the tastiest falafel /​shawarma joint you’ll find. It doesn’t offer the best ambience for dining in but if looking for take-​out or a quick bite, I’d highly recommend this place.

The staff were very nice. The good was also great. It’s very easily accessible on Robson St and we just ran into the spot because we were walking back to our hotel. Try it out!

This place is a perfect metaphor for the West end. Down to earth, high quality, no attitude.
I just hit this place on my way home from work, so it’s the perfect time for a review.
I love schwarmas. They’re healthy, and still delicious. Why is this such a rare combination?!?
There are some sweet picnic tables outside, or you can just take it to go, which probably 90% of customers do.
Prices very reasonable. The schwarma making dudes are über professional. Not trying to be charming and witty like the bloody hipster barristas in Gastown. Love it! Just make my food, and stop trying to show everyone what a tortured artist you are.
Will be coming back here with high frequency!

Love this place. I come here for the Chicken Shawarma and Falafel. They are always amazingly delicious and reliable. The platters are a lot of food but I always eat it in two sittings so I can’t complain. If you are in the area definitely stop by and try this restaurant.

Tried the chicken schwarma after hearing a couple of people say it was really good. Honestly It’s a good wrap, but there’s nothing too special about it.
The place is quite small, and you pay first at the cashier before moving down the line to customize your food in a Subway-​esque fashion. The store makes you feel a little awkward if you’re eating there alone since everyone has a clear view of you through the glass wall. The chicken was pre-​shaved and kept warm in a metal container, which might explain why some pieces were a little dry for me. The guy also puts on a heap of fresh vegetables for you after asking for your preferences. The portion size was great though for the price, and they don’t skimp on what they’re giving you. At the end of it the schwarma will be neatly wrapped up in aluminum foil for you to grab and go.
There wasn’t anything bad about the place for a fast food joint, but there wasn’t anything eye-​opening that wowed me either. My favorite schwarma is still one I had while I was traveling in London… Wish I could remember the name of the store. Bring some breath mints, ’cause you will have a garlicky breath after eating this!

We’re regulars here. It’s our go-​to Shawarma place.

Best donair in the neighbourhood.
Their chicken is marinated and grilled on location and you can taste that. Top that with fresh veggies, some garlic & hot sauce and your delicious wrap is complete!

There is an outdoor patio and if you’re lucky enough, grab a seat and people watch as you eat your o-​so-​delicious food!
