I stopped in at Bake My Day Café when I was apartment hunting in the area. They had a delightful croissant with feta, spinach, fried onion and tomato. It was a pleasant alternative to the dry plain croissants you can find at any Starbucks. The café is small, but quaint. It is clear that the baker puts so much love and effort into her food.

Another recommendation most recently by the same Unilocaler who recommended some of the other bakeries that I just reviewed. I have to admit that the first thing that caught my attention was how cute the name of this place is. The creativity in marketing is what inspired me to actually walk in here with all the other recommendations. Once inside I appreciated the very nicely decorated and very photo friendly sweet treats. I could feel the cavity forming as I looked in the display case. As for what I bought… way to much that day than my calories budgeted for. The scale made sure that it let me know this. I am not sorry about it at all. I am a sugar addict. What an awesome place to have said sugar addict. The pastries are a little on the pricey side, however, well worth it in terms of quality and presentation. Customer service was good.

****** CLOSEDASOFEARLYAUGUST ********** Simple, tasty, baked-on-location goodies. Much better than your average café’s wares. I’ve mostly had their croissants and variations on that. Seating arrangements could be slightly improved, it’s functional rather than cozy. Their hours tend to somewhat follow regular business hours, rather than«free time» hours, so check that out here on Unilocal before a drop-in.

Loved the chocolate cupcake, the fudgey frosting was divine! I went back for the little marshmallows, which although they are a bit flat are yummy, and got my some macarons! The cherry macaron is to die for, I could eat a dozen! I also got a macchiato, and it was perfectly done. I usually go to Starbucks for my macchiato but why bother when the one here is waaayy better!

A cute little cozy café in Yaletown that you must absolutely stop in. The most delicious croissants ever. Not only do they have plain and chocolate — but they have savoury ones as well that will just melt your tastebuds. The cherry macaron was hands down the most delicious macaron I’ve ever had in my life. Will definitely be booking coffee meetings here going forward. They also have pretty tables where you can sit to eat your treats and sip coffee/tea and flip through the paper before starting your day. Can’t wait to try more!

Picky? Am I??? I don’t know… They was closed on December 25th and 26th2014. Fair. I walked by and noticed that they left a carrot cake in the window… And then I noticed on early morning on the 27th that… The same slice of carrot cake was still in da window… SORRY but I do not believe in 3 days old treats… SO… I am going less often since… Also I do not order carrot cake anymore… It’s just… Like stuck in my mind… But I wish them all da best… Of course!

Visited this place a few days ago. Has a really understated clean ambiance to it, especially compared to the place that was here before. This place has a white and clean look, while the previous was quite dark. Ordered an Americano and a Panini for lunch and was planning to take it back to the office to eat. The person taking my order actually ended up being the owner and was super nice. We started talking and I even ended up grabbing a seat and eating there. The Panini was very good and all the ingredients seemed fresh. I’m not a Panini expert, but the bread was baked in-house which I thought was A+. The dough was very light yet quite rich. While sitting and eating lunch all the pastries in the stand started to get my attention. The carrot cake looked so good(I love carrot cake) that I couldn’t resist. Got a single slice and took it to work. Ended up eating the cake a few hours later and it was amazing. Very rich, perfect sweetness and you can still feel the carrots in there. Overall was quite satisfied with the new place on the block. Their quite new so they seem to be still settling in, but I think with time they will only improve. Planning to stop by after work today and buy some of the bread that was used to make my Panini. Forgot the name they called it(Faccini or something like that).
