Very very busy and loud. Internet did not work after trying 2 different passcodes. Seating was old and pretty crowded. The only good thing was the pretty coffee art.

I actually like this location as it has some modest seating inside. I get a sugar free matcha latte which was made perfectly. Barista was nice and I was served in a timely manner. So why the 3 stars… bathroom was out of order and there wasn’t that much selection in the pastry department.

HORRIBLE:) When I first got there I asked a barista a few questions about their drinks, she did not make me feel welcomed at all and actually made me seem very ignorant for not knowing about their drinks… They weren’t busy at all, but totally made me feel like if I had interrupted them. I didn’t order right away and took more time studying the menu since the barista considered me as an idiot. Then I went back and wanted to use a promotion card(I got the card from the same store on the day before), which could give me a second drinks for free, but the barista didn’t understand the use of the card and even rejected it only if I purchase a second one. Plus, they made our drinks without the additional stuff we asked for(my friend and I were the only customers waiting for drinks!!!). I’ve been to other Blenz, but this store definitely knows nothing about customer service.

Tried their latte with maple and it was really tasty! Good location for watching the passersby, and quiet for using the WiFi to do work.

Blenz is a Vancouver based coffee chain that is a similar Starbucks or Waves. As a result, you can get a variety of fancy espresso based drinks(like macchiatos, lattes, or mochas), flavoured teas and artisan baked goods at a «premium» price. Although Blenz presents itself as an upscale coffee location and not just a java joint, I find the drinks and baked goods are simply ok, not great, especially for the price you pay. One thing that makes this location of Blenz stand out in comparison to other Blenz(and coffee shops in the area) is the location. This store is located on the incredibly busy corner of Broadway and Granville. At almost any hour of the day there is action happening in the street from a myriad of people rushing by. This make this location great to people watch and be entertained as the world goes by. With that said, Blenz offers free wi-fi and has some chairs, tables and seats to sit at with windows all around to look out from and let natural light in. Be careful with some of the chairs though. They may look comfy, but when you sit down, you’ll find out quickly there is no support to the foam. Despite all the hustle and bustle outside, this location of Blenz is usually relatively calm and not over crowded. Unfortunately this can sometimes also translate to the staff energy level. During more busy times(i.e. weekday early morning or the 5pm rush) the staff is quick and efficient to get your order and send you on your way. However, on quieter times like a Saturday afternoon, or Monday evening, it can take a long time to get service and then a longer amount of time to get your order. On more than one occasion I’ve been longer than 10 mins to order and receive my drink with nobody ahead of me in line. I’m a coffee drinker usually, but when I go to Blenz I actually usually order a tea instead, as I find their tea quality is better than their coffee. One item I highly recommend is their matcha tea latte. Of all the chain coffee/tea places in town, I find Blenz’s version one of the tops. Overall, this Blenz is an ok coffee shop, a pretty good tea shop and a great place to people watch.

Nice coffee, not exceptional. The atmosphere is also fine — clean seating area, extra-cluttered counter space(please buy more stuff!) but nice, possibly Scottish, barista there the day I came in for a Royal tea latte, cappuccino, and hot cocoa(shared among several people, of course). The bathroom was clean when I came in, and the place was reasonably busy on a rainy Sunday morning, so they must be doing something right!

Coffee here is shit, but do you expect any less from Blenz!!! I know I don’t. Please don’t try any of their«baked goods.» I am warning you in advance… anything that’s wrapped up before serving can not be good, and it isn’t… Hipster service is friendly enough, but they always seem bored. :P I like the corner seat to watch the crazies go by. Typically full of people(as it’s at a busy intersection) but usually a seat or two is available. :) And they don’t care if you linger around like some coffee houses do… come on, coffee houses are to drink and to talk with friends!

It’s a Blenz, so it’s slightly above what I think you should pay for a latte, just above average taste, and they have free wi fi… as long as you ask for the password. This one benefits from the excellent people-watching view of Broadway and Granville! I watched 2 very smartly dressed ladies sticking their arms full length into a rubbish bin out the front, grinning the whole time: D My copy of Metro(which Blenz usually always provides) was left to the side, as I next watched a man come after them and pull a load of bottles out. That’s a prime bin there it seems! Big space, has a little mock fireplace. But there’s no real soul, no character, but did I really expect that here? Naah. Plenty of seating — make sure to grab a window spot: D

Still just meh. But I find it amusing that you can find one of these stores on nearly every block corner. That’s gotta be worth something. Upgrade to 2.5 stars! ;)

The tea here is way better than the coffee. Agree with other reviews that coffee is bland. Matcha latte non sweet is very good. Other teas are good and high quality. They are all loose leave teas and they use unbleached filters to put the tea in.

A really busy spot because of its prime location right on the corner of Granville and Broadway. It’s one of the bigger Blenz locations I’ve been to, although it could make better use of that space. The brewed coffee was especially great that day, as Blenz isn’t my go-to spot for coffee, so I was pleasantly surprised with my experience. May have to visit again!

This one seems to be ridiculously busy most of the time. The drinks are a bit pricier than Starbucks. or is it just me? They are quite delicious though, I love that they do artwork on your drinks every now and then. Its a bit more personalized treat than Starbucks. :)

Walking down Granville Street for the first time, I passed by a couple Starbucks in favor of trying something more local. Blenz, though it’s a chain, is not available to me in the U.S. so I happily walked into their corner coffee house. It’s a comfortable, warm-toned location with lots of windows and a friendly staff. I tried a Maple Macchiato with almond milk, which was really delicious. I’m lactose intolerant, and usually my only substitute option is soy(which doesn’t taste great in coffee to me) so the almond milk was a delightful change of pace. The foam on top was fluffy and lovely. However, when I sat down on what looked to be a comfy chair by the window and the tiny fake fireplace, I was unhappily surprised by the lack of cushioning. It felt like I just slammed my tailbone onto a concrete block. So sit slowly when you visit and don’t judge their chairs by their covers!

The way I like coffee shops… A bit of a home away from home. Great staff, decent coffee, free wireless, and comfortable surroundings. As big chain coffee shops go, this is a cut above the rest in my books.

This Blenz is decent enough, the décor is nice inside and the counter staff were good enough to stop their conversation and serve us. They even smiled. When I asked about the music playing, the response was«yeah, they make us listen to it, It’s a live stream.» … I laughed, because I was actually enjoying it. The shop is pretending it’s a neighbourhood hangout by keeping books on a shelf for some light reading, while you drink their overpriced hot chocolate. Light reading, like the medical bible of digestive disease I found on the shelf. The shop is no doubt a student hangout during the week with wireless users. It’s across from the Chapters book store and offers an alternative to the St*bx inside. Well, that’s kind of like«6 of one or half dozen of the other» isn’t it.

I am a starbucks fan but when I want a mocha I will always go to Blenz. They make the best mocha’s and you have your choice of either White Chocolate, Milk Chocolate or Dark Chocolate. How can one go wrong when they actually use real chocolate rather than syrup in their drinks. My choice is always the milk chocolate mocha. Yum!

Had never heard of Blenz until we got to Vancouver, so gave it a shot while were in the neighborhood waiting for our table at Vij’s. Seemed like they had more teas on the menu than coffees, so opted for a regular chai tea. Nothing really special about it; I’m not really a chai tea kind of guy, but I feel like I’ve had better. Pretty busy intersection, so people watching is convenient and they have wi-fi, but they also have a Starbucks right across the street. Not an overwhelming fan of chains, but between the two, I’d probably be over there.

This place was good but generally could use a little more pep in their step since I ordered two drinks and one cupcake which ended up taking almost 20 minutes(and both drinks were cold and … one of them was just iced tea …) I found this place on such busy intersection after walking around Vancouver looking for a good coffee place to visit. I wanted to be impressed by their delicious café lattes and/or mochas but was unfortunately so thristy I ended up ordering an iced tea and the bf got the matcha iced latte(which he said was pretty good). As far as food goes I give this place a 4-star solid because the tea was just what I needed and it was deliciously peachy without being overly artificial tasting and was NOT supremely sweet that I would choke on the sugar. They had REDVELVET cupcakes to my surprise(that were filled!) and they proved to be delicious as well although dye was used in the process. However, the amount of time it took … I just don’t know if this is a place I can come back to to grab something quick and it’s not exactly a store by itself as it appears to be attached to the lobby of something that was under construction while I visited.

A freelancer’s haven — click-clacking of keyboards, a buzzing of activity. I have a lot of meetings here –typically brainstorming sessions. I’ve been to every Blenz(I think) but this is always the one the strikes me as the«office» away from the home office. Inevitably, I see someone I know and have a chance to catch up. It also seems to be the most social of the Blenz — I have randomly met more people here than any other coffee shop in Vancouver. Coffee is standard fare, service is the same. But the connections and buzz of activity make this a hub for sure. Free wireless too!
