I had the macha parfait and the custard crêpe. Both were amazingly good. I finished my custard crêpe first, which was pretty good(not the best crêpe I’ve ever had, but pretty yummy), and tried to work onmy parfait. The parfait was ginormous and I was not able to finish it. The cake and corn flakes at the bottom got a bit dry by the time I got to it, but overall the parfait was delicious. I would definitely go back to this place again! Btw, this place only takes cash, if I remember correctly.

If you are a matcha lover, this place is made for you! Try the matcha soft serve. It is smooth with a rich matcha flavour that certainly cools your down as the weather is warming up. They also serve crepes and parfait if you’re looking for something more substantial.

The only thing I ever get from here is the their matcha soft serve, and while it alone deserves 5 stars(bittersweet, good portion, authentic tasting), I docked 2 whole stars for the wait times. 20 minutes for soft serve? Unacceptable. I really hope they hire more staff/get another soft serve machine.

I would drive all the way from Burnaby to park on Robson street for their crêpe. Especially the strawberry cheesecake crêpe is SO delicious. It contains a slice of real cheesecake with fresh strawberry slices and some strawberry jam. Most importantly, the texture of the crêpe itself has the perfect chewiness. Every bite is heaven. Price is also reasonable. Really wish they could have a better seating area :)

Whoa, this place is crazy good. I stumbled upon this place on Unilocal and saw all the crazy photos of this ‘Matcha Parfait’ and decided to give this a try since this stand is part of an actual Japanese grocery store! There are a million and one matcha soft serve places in Vancouver and this place is THEMOSTLEGIT out of all of them! I hate how other matcha soft serve places taste too dang sweet or they’re too dang soft/melted through. This place has their matcha game on point. Consistency is perfectly frozen. You can actually taste the bitterness and THANK the matcha gods for that! I’m a plain Jane so I ordered just a cup of the soft serve and was pretty satisfied. The parfaits look delish and I might want to try them one day, but for now, I’ll stick to just the soft serve on it’s own because it’s just that good!

You must try the Matcha soft serve here! It’s absolutely delicious. You can really taste the Matcha flavor and it’s not overly sweet or masked by any other flavors. Their parfaits here are the best in the city(in my opinion), they only offer two kinds: Vanilla & pudding parfait and the Matcha and red bean parfait. The crepes here are pretty good as well!

Matcha parfait ! Can anything get better?! If I’m in the mood for ice cream this is where I go. Nowhere else comes close. The matcha flavour is bitter and less sweet than most North American ice creams. It’s definitely an acquired taste. I can see how somebody might hate it. However, I love desserts that are not very sweet but just right. And this hits the nail. I highly recommend.

It’s attached to a Japanese grocery store. Get anything with the matcha soft serve! It’s simply the best matcha soft serve! It has a powerful green earthy flavour and it isn’t too sweet. The location is great as you can quickly treat yourself while browsing the nearby stores.

I came here for desserts. Looking at their menu, they have a wide variety of crepes and other green tea desserts. Lots of people especially students visit this shop or crêpe place. I ordered a pudding whip topping crêpe. The crêpe was warm and soft and smelt so good! The egg pudding tasted excellent as well. It went so well with whip cream. The whole crêpe did not taste too sweet. It was about right. Even I had finished the pudding whip topping crêpe, I wanted to eat and order more! There are only four seats inside the shop. This shop is a small Japanese supermarket as well, so there is limited space for an eating area. However, I would highly recommend to try any of the food on their menu!!! There must be something that you like.

Not a bad treat to get while walking from Stanley park back to pacific center. We saw a group of people get this on our walk and decided to treat ourselves. The green tea soft serve looked really good. It’s a cute little shop from the outside. They have pictures of all the different crepes that they offered. We probably waited for less than five minutes in line the soft serve tasted okay. It was a little bitter like green tea and less sweet for an ice cream. I guess I give them credit for sticking to what it should taste like, green tea but it just didn’t taste as good as the other green tea ice creams that j have had. The soft serve was also a little melted. The cone was the cheap kind, not very tasty. It was like cardboard cone.

I purchased a chocolate banana filled crêpe. It was tasty and good for the price. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a quick snack on the go. Or you could hang out inside but there isn’t much seating and I could image this place and get busy pretty quickly. I will be back at some point to try their matcha ice crème.

Bookmarked this place because of all the amazing pics of the green tea parfait. The heavy rain def did not stop me from trying this place. The place is located at the Japanese market, you can order from the window outside or from inside. I was not a fan of the ice green tea ice cream. Maybe I’m spoiled with the ones in Los Angeles? For me, I like the bitter and creamy/rich flavor of green tea. The ice cream was subtle and tasted light. TIP: CASHONLY! If you don’t have Canadian money, there’s a money exchange shop right next door.

Always pass by this place but never really thought of giving it a try till a friend recommended their Chicken Mayo Teriyaki Crêpe. I heard their parfait is also really good but perhaps next time as I was on a mini food hunt and can’t consume so much in one day. I came on a rainy day and I was happy there were seats inside the store. I did try the Crêpe and it was awesome. Pretty small for $ 5.00(tax included). The crêpe was thin, the chicken was flavourful(not overly drenched in teriyaki sauce), the mayo added creaminess to it and the lettuce gave it a refreshing touch. Had I not been so full, I could have eaten a few of these but then again I wouldn’t splurge on crepes. I’d come again to try the parfait not sure about the crêpe due to the price to portion size.

If you love matcha, crepes, parfait — you need to come here. It’s in small corner of a Japanese konbini store and you could easily miss it. Or maybe not if you notice the big soft serve ice cream on a cone in front of their little stand. You can have green tea ice cream, custard, red bean, etc. in a crêpe or a parfait. I like to keep it simple so, I got a matcha soft serve. The matcha flavor was strong which is definitely a good thing. Creamy, smooth, mildly sweet soft serve. Oishi! They only take cash.

This little take out window attached to the Japanese grocery store on Robson can be easily missed. We ordered the green tea parfait which came to $ 6.95 including tax. It was carefully crafted by one of the two employees there. To our surprise it was much bigger than we expected. The green tea soft serve and ice cream were delicious– very strong matcha flavour. The green tea and sponge cake were soft and fresh. Compared to other popular parfait places in Van, Bön Crêpe is excellent value and great quality. However, our order took about 10 minutes to prepare and there was just 1 person a head of us. Overall, I would highly recommend the green tea parfait and will will return to try the pudding parfait and crepes.

I miss this place so much. It’s a little stand inside a small Japanese market on a busy street in Vancity. There was a long line of young adult waiting in line for the parfait or green tea ice cream. I tried going back before leaving the city but they weren’t open. The matcha green tea parfait did not disappoint. It was everything and more. There were so many layers that make up different texture along with the matcha green tea ice cream. I wish they have something like this in Dallas. Vancity is too cool.

I had seen so many pictures of the green tea parfait that I knew I had to stop by while I was in Vancouver. Unfortunately, for me, it didn’t really live up to the hype. Yes, it’s a gorgeous dessert and all, but the combination of all the ingredients that they include was a little bit strange. The green tea soft serve itself was delicious, and so was the red bean(I just wished they included more than just a small spoonful). The whipped cream added a light fluffy texture to the ice cream, which I liked, and the cookie and cake pieces that they put in on the side are good as well. The boba and cereal were what threw everything off for me. They just seemed to clash. It might be a personal preference, but I don’t like crunchy things mixed in with my ice cream. For me, it’s a very unsettling combination. The parfait is also pretty pricey at $ 6. I honestly would have rather paid half the price for just the green tea soft serve and some red bean. The other stuff just seemed excessive. Overall, I don’t regret trying this place out, but aside from all the pretty pictures that you can take of your parfait, it’s not really worth the money.

$ 6.95(tax included) for a beautiful and scrumptious multilayered green tea parfait on a beautiful sunny day. Life can’t get any better than this. The different combinations of textures and flavours are fantastic. I can’t wait to try the pudding flavour parfait next time.

While Bön Crêpe is highly praised for their authentic Japanese crepes(consisting of a mochi-like texture with fresh sweet or savoury fillings), I think I’d actually prefer my crepes slightly crispier. So whenever I do come here, I tend to get the soft serve parfaits over anything else. The Green Tea Soft Serve with Red Bean is composed of the perfect density, intense Japanese matcha flavours, and completed with slight sweetness from the red bean paste. They certainly don’t mess around here, the matcha flavour is boldly present during each taste and leaves a slight bittersweet aftertaste. Some argue that the soft ice cream could be sweeter, but I actually really like how Bön Crêpe doesn’t drown out the traditional matcha taste with sweetener. I’m so excited to have found a worthwhile place to add to my Matcha Snob list on Unilocal.Pure deliciousness! Verdict: Like your typical Asian eats, please note that Bön Crêpe takes cash only. If crepes with a chewier texture aren’t your thing, stick with the soft serve, sundaes, or parfaits. Matcha lovers, get anything with Green Tea Soft Serve, When in doubt, always go with the parfait.
