«New Management!» Two words you DON’T want to hear. I used to love this place: a friendly little joint of Mediterranean dishes, staffed by a group of Muslims who all had non-auditory disabilities. The pizza was truly excellent, rivaling Nat’s even, and their reputation and business was well deserved. I don’t know what happened. The place was sold, new staff took over, kept the same menu and the same decorations. .. but somehow managed to destroy all the quality. Pizza, the 99b bus stop standby, is inconsistent, from reasonably flavorful to «how old is this slice?» to «even the Lord of Hell and his realm of lies would feel himself a hypocrite to call this slime ‘cheese’». The other options aren’t much netter. I had the falaffel platter, at a whopping $ 9 today, accompanied by a $ 3 tiny cylinder of juice. The ‘platter’ was little more than three fart-dry falaffel balls, in a wet puddle of hommus, with a macaroni scoop of salad on the side. Even worse, instead of pitta, out comes to this thin little slice of tortilla! Hilarious cost cutting and overcharging. I know they got a small margin for profit — but this was gross. Just gross. Damn. Another good place destroyed by the trading of hands.
